Maybe people are right that Tebow will move to TE and start. I personally doubt it for personal reasons and my view of football.

The Patriots have a damn good TE rookie. Brandon Ford. He has the size to block, great hands, and enough speed to get down the field. He came from my alma mater so I have a skewed option.

But he started as a WR at Clemson and move to TE. His biggest issue will be adding some bulk and getting better at blocking at the pro level.

Tebow is an unknown commodity as a receiving TE. Who knows how good his hands are at catching the ball. Blocking and all the schemes that go along with it will be very difficult for him.

I just don't see Tebow starting over a quality TE like Brandon Ford. The only way Tebow gets on the field is two TE sets and I don't think we will see that from the patriots this season with the injuries.

people who think tebow can convert to a te in an offseason are delusional. the guy has never ever had to run routes, and has never ever had to catch the ball. he's been a qb from day 1. what makes you think he will be able to be an nfl caliber route runner and catcher overnight?

QFT. Tebow fanatics are just delusional.

Yeah, I would think that fullback would be a way easier transition.

They have the H back position. That's sort of like hybrid FB/TE isn't it?

It's the Patriots. Belichek will probably turn a linebacker into a Pro Bowl TE.
And then trade him for draft picks.

Regarding Tebow, don't the patriots use most of the players on their roster?

I think FB would be a good position for him to be used occasionally. The fact that he can stop and make a decent pass adds a wrinkle. TE probably wouldn't work.

As a Pats fan that sucks, he was one of my favorite players. Durrrrrrrr you just scored a huge contract and you think you can get away with murder.

Also interesting that they released him, now it'd be very difficult to recoup any bonus money i hear.

Shows what you know. Tebow ran routes as a WR in Denver.

Julian Edelman played QB in college and was converted to WR in one off-season with the Pats. Mostly a special teams guy at first, he still ran routes.

Tebow can easily pick up a role similar to Hernandez out of the backfield where he lined up as a FB/HB and caught passes out of the back field and ran routes.

Even so, the organization looks good for cutting ties right off the bat and not waiting around to screw with the contract. Probably better in the long run really.

LOL @ AMDZen thinking he can still talk about football and people actually take his opinions into consideration.
