All I know is that we should probably let people drive on whatever side of the road they want to drive on. If you want to drive on the right side, that's great, do so voluntarily. Don't force the rest of us to follow your lead.

They are arguing for higher taxes for ALL MILLIONAIRES, not looking to fucking donate money to the government themselves. Raise the rates on all people seemed to be the recurring theme I heard. They could donate on their own IPads as if that was what they were even going to DC for.... Priceless and hilarious video. You really proved a point...

It is easy to call for taxes on OTHER people. I want those who demand OTHER people pay MORE in taxes to actually pay MORE themselves first.

Why should anyone listen to people who to demand others do what they refuse to do themself?

First, the rich HAVE shifted taxes off themselves onto everyone else, and as a result have massively shifted the society's wealth from everyone to them.

Second, these wealthy people ARE willing to pay more. If the higher taxes on the rich are passed, THEY will pay more.

Why are you so clueless about it? The rich haven't 'debated' the issue, just passed laws.

They aren't refusing to do it themselves. They are advocating for tax increases that they will also pay so long as everyone else in the same bracket is paying with them. How is this so hard to understand?

To better understand, the following question needs to be answered:

Are the people demanding the tax increases also demanding their own taxes be increased?

This is the basis of my statement. Since the answer is obviously "NO" (they only want taxes increase on people who make more money than they make....NOT on people who makes as much money as they make), we can easily say they are not willing to do what they demand others be forced to do.

It is so easy to understand, even a liberal should be able to do it.
 
Alright let's look at it another way: Don't they have enough money to give the poor? They should either start a charity or shut the fuck up.

They may or may not pay depending on whether they're millionaires by assets or income. Either way, their millionaire status should give them no more influence on tax policy than any other person in this country.

No if they said "raise taxes on everyone else, but me" then you may have a point. But again..no one is that dumb to ever actual say that either.

Yes, heaven forbid we should distinguish between emotional arguments based in fantasy and pragmatic arguments based in reality. The RNC would lose 90% of its talking points if we did that.
