And that has what to do with receiving government benefits?
It is about EDUCATION. Not things like welfare.

What will the release if records accomplish except to inflame?
What useful information is there in terms of student loans, grants, classes and grades.
It is not like UM to have specialized classes in the first couple of years.
I don't know what it would do. Unless it turned out that UMASS has a marathon bombing course that the taxpayers paid for I don't know what that would tell people or what policy changes we would want to make based on it.
Nah, just the usual Hate America poli sci courses taught by the typical socialist/communist professors.

Or the left's obsession with Romney's tax returns?
Oh I get it. The public only deserves to know how much money people are giving to the government, not how much the government is doling out to someone :whiste:
"on dzhokhar tsarnaev’s college aid, university of massachusetts dartmouth spokesman robert connolly said, “it is our position — and i believe the accepted position in higher education — that student records including academic records and financial records (including financial aid) cannot under federal law be released without a student’s consent."
the more you know.

I linked to FERPA first, but nehalem's reading comprehension skills are about as good as his dating skills.
Do we get to see medical records for soldiers and veterans? Tax payers pay for them then they have a right to see it too right?
And this is why you can't argue with liberals. You guys have to resort to making idiotic comments like this.
You can say that as loud and as long as you want......it still does not mean you are right.....and you can tag the word terrorist for effect....it only proves one thing -- which is that you are bat shit crazy!!Government benefits are not private. As long as the taxpayer pays for them then they have a right to see it. Those fucking pieces of shit who blocked the records must be fired for this. Do they support the terrorists?
I don't understand why so many people want to see where their tax money goes.
I mean its not like anyone here was unsophisticated enough to believe Obama when he said "Government should be transparent. Transparency promotes accountability and provides information for citizens about what their Government is doing."
And if he makes programs that spread the Obama phones around to people that support him, and a few end up in terrorist hands, why should that concern anyone? I mean a Chicago Politician has a right to reward those that vote for him, doesn't he?
Government transparency? LOL, you didn't actually believe him when he said that, did you?

It isn't about privacy. It is about politicians attempting to keep the information that the Boston Bombers used government welfare to finance their jihad away from the public.
