Rando question: when the new expansion and challenge league goes live will it also go live to Standard as well? I know the characters from a challenge league dump into Standard when the league ends, I'm just not sure about the league content itself.

After playing Delerium and Harvest and quitting quickly during Heist I think I might want to play Standard. I don't play a ton and I'm not that great so every time I'm starting to make progress in my atlas the league ends and I have to start over.

Correct. Whenever they do an expansion or core content changes it happens in Standard as well. So the only thing you won't get by playing Standard is the specific league content it introduces which in this case is only the Ritual stuff.

I think Necromancer (various shapes and sizes) is my new go-to. Pretty lazy game plan which I love. I've done every damned version of totems twice now, so I need a new mindles build type

I played just standard for the last couple of leagues (except also played the Delve and flashback events). Usually the league stuff makes it to standard but if Harvest ever did I successfully avoided it.

Be aware that they reset standard every time a new league starts, usually introducing stuff from the league that just ended. Unfortunately your atlas gets reset and you have to start again from tier 1.

During the Steam sale I bought Grim Dawn and all it's addons, going to give that a try and just stay out of POE, at least for the time being.

Wrecker_of_days has a bunch of one button builds in the official forums, he calls them stress free. I've tried a few-very solid builds, maybe not the ultimate builds but I like them because people usually post very helpful tips in his threads.

I too bought Grim Dawn and played it some. It was decent. It just seems "rougher" around the edges compared to POE. Maybe it was that subconscious "this is different than I'm used to" feeling that was hard to shrug off or something. It was still fun. Ironically the lower levels of loot felt not as rewarding. There has to be a middle ground between POE's gluttony and Grim Dawn's lack.

Its funny as I feel like I actually missed all the stuff people complain about in POE - the excessive gfx and mtx, the ridiculous amount of loot, the overly complicated leveling system etc etc. As I said. it seems like there has to be a happy medium between the two

What are the "must have" tools/sites/macros/etc that everyone uses while they play?

I just learned of https://poemap.live/ which is a map trading specific site. I look forward to using this.

Poemap works very well for trading white tier maps, OK for yellow and poor for red. So make sure to use it a lot at the start to fill out your atlas and get the large chunk of whites done.

You've seen these before in trade where someone has an automated thank you msg and they kick you from the party. You can read up on the features but the quick list is:
- 1 Button invite
- 1 Button It's Sold
- 1 Button Please Wait
- 1 Button Thank you and kick them
- 1 Button leave party and travel back to your HO
- Highlights item that they want in your sell tab
- Tabbed notifications so you don't get confused when multiple people are trying to buy from you

It has a basic and an advanced search function for pricing. The basic function works great on items that are set like div cards, scarabs, etc. If you're searching rares or uniques with large roll ranges then you need to use the advanced box and tick off ranges and stats. If you pickup and try to sell a lot of items then this is a good tool to have. If you tend to only sell large ticket items or sell infrequently then it's not that helpful.

I'm liking this ritual mechanich. i think all shrines could be replaced by these.
starting my league with an RF elementalist, and in act 2, ritual gave me a wand with +1 lvl all fire gems +17% fire DoT multi, i'm being spoiled

I too thus far like the mechanic. It keeps you in the current area, doesn't require any voodoo to make tings "perfect", there's no timer, you don't lose anything on the way out the area (just click the ritual button before you leave and "cash out").


I've been playing that one-click RF build that was linked earlier and it took a while to get RF comfortable, but once I finished Cruel Lab my life pool doesn't budge unless it's a large mob (ritual shrine). Mobs are just melting away under the RF and the 3x Golem with Infernal Legion Support. Easiest build I've ever played by a mile. I'm just wrapping up Act 8

Yeah I haven't even really bothered with "good gear" yet. My resists are WAY over capped too with not enough life to REALLY get that RF DPS up there.

I'm not complaining of course
I'm just bummed I dropped 2C on a 6S/5L. I didn't even BOTHER to look at the 6Ls
Now I need some more currency I guess.

Yeah, ritual really gives some solid gear options. Also, I think the trade site was having trouble this weekend.

Bleedbow gladiator has been solid for me. Still crawling through white tier maps.

my RF build getting a little squishy with the ritual mobs in the yellow maps. Almost done with life nodes in the tree so gotta find some decent cluster jewel to add into the mix
Decided to use Ahn's Heritage for a shield for the +2 max resistances. I think my max fire res is now up to like 82% or something.
The build guide (and POB) sort of sucks as it's TOO open ended for me. It just keeps saying "whatever you like!" for gear. I'm thinking armor based gear is the right choice over evasion, but maybe I'm wrong on that.

Did just get my first E drop this league though. Always fun
