Just had a map with an abyss, next screen over were three sulphite nodes arranged in a triangle with a breech in the center. About two more screens over was a unique strongbox. This was a t6 corrupted map. I mean I didn't get anything of value from them except a few splinters and lots of sulphite but still amazed at the amount of features in that map.

Sometimes PoE creates beautiful moments like that. Other times, maps feel like a barren wasteland... Regardless, nothing drops anyway!

Hey, I'm doing above average this league. I have 35ex in currency even after spending 8ex on my map party.

I was doing well... until I started to try to link my Starforge. I'm over 3000 fusing in as of yesterday. So I'm currently at about 4-5 ex of currency instead of the 10-15 I could/should be.

I've never 6 linked something with fusings. Tried to do a couple of body armors and I was over 2k and I tried a Disfavor and that went over 2k. I just buy everything 6 linked now because I apparently have shitty luck with it.

I linked a sword 6 link with fusings. It happened once and I got a steam achievement for it if I remember correctly.

I've been trying to get that achievement by trying to 6 link a Windripper in Standard. I spent 1k fusings after Abyss and another 1k after both Bestiary and Incursion... maybe one day I'll get it. Do I get the achievement if I Vorici link it? Might be a lot easier..

Edit: Got my numbers a little wrong. I had them written down in a .txt file. 1200 right after Abyss and 300 after Bestiary and 800 after Incursion ended. So I'm 2300 fusings in so far. Not really worried about spending currency in Standard, I could probably 6 link it today if I wanted to, I've just been hoping to do it using the fusings I have leftover after each league.

You don't get the achievement if you Vorici link it. My luck is so bad and it takes so long to manually link them (scared of going too fast and zipping right by a six link) that coughing up the 1500 fusings is the only way I go now.

I'd double check this as I'm not 100% sure but I don't think you can go past a six link. You get an error message if you try to use a fusing on a six link.

This is correct. So if you want a 6-link just spam your fusings on a 6-socket item. The game will stop you if you actually 6-link it.

I've 6-linked between 10 and 20 items, though Im on a cold streak this league... 3000+ fusings with no 6-link. Generally the average is around 700 but I've now twice been over 2500.

I gotta say this game is pretty tight... even just playing super casually. I really like the delve too; it's fun to traverse deeper and deeper although I haven't really found anything super great yet.

The one thing I must say I wish I could secure more of are the color-change orbs because a lot of my gear has X amount of the same colored gems. Also, what are the gem sockets in the skill tree for? I've tried popping them into the sockets but nothing happens. I also couldn't figure out what the silver coils were for until I saw the prophecy stuff. Not going to lie I have zero idea what those even do although I did fulfill a couple of them unknowingly.

I think the game strikes a pretty good balance between risk and reward.

If you need more chromatic orbs you can sell items that have blue-red-green links to them. They drop quite often and you can usually pick up one or two per area to sell.

The skill tree sockets are for items called "jewels" that drop. There are normal jewels that take up one inventory slot and there are abyssal jewels that you can find from running an abyss (those green mini map things that open a crack in the earth for you to follow when you step on them).

The Wiki is your friend too. Just look up anything new there. I couldn't imagine starting PoE now and having to learn everything. Best of luck!

Are you using any sort of loot filter? If not, STRONGLY suggested getting one. Neversink is the "go-to" I think still.

Man, i only have like 3E in currency right now. I spent a bit on boots/gloves etc. Still morning the vending of my 7E helmet. I did pick up a double enchant prophecy, so going to have to run Uber lab and do a little praying. Those 25%+ RF helmets are expensive!

I dropped a reliquary key two days ago. I thought I'd pop it immediately if I ever dropped one. But it's still in my inventory. I keep thinking... "Man I could sell that and really max out a few things on my character, then I could delve deeper!"

I think that's good game design. My friend has two sitting in his inventory and I think he feels the same way.

I got one last league if I recall. I sold it :)
My ONLY "complain" with POE is there's almost TOO much stuff to do. I'm a completionist at heart and I want to complete my atlas, max out my level(s), delve deeper and deeprer etc etc. There's only so much time though!

Usually I'm done playing by now for the league but I've been sticking around. I don't like paying for challenges and I'm really trying to get 36 for the portal MTX which means I'm stuck trying to find another boss on my own. On the flip side, because I'm still playing I have way more currency then normal. I'm up to 21ex and over 2500 chaos. Not even sure what I have in all the other currencies. I have stacks of t16 maps from all the city nodes. I don't even do the city nodes anymore because I don't need more maps or currency. I've done uber elder about a dozen times now just to keep doing things while delving for a boss. Been giving out free completions for things like uber atziri or shaper for the same reason

Well if you see me online, I'll take some of those free completions :p

The RNG of challenges is just stupid. They can make them as grindy as they want, but to make them locked behind RNG is just unfair.

I'm glad you've been playing more this league. I think it's probably been their best one. I loved Harbinger but this one has a good balance of everything and keeps me coming back for more.

I'm up to 21 challenges trying to work on one each day or two. Don't know if Ill make 36 or not this league.

I gotta buy the twinned maps and knock those out. I've had REALLY bad luck with vaal'ing maps this league. Half the time it changes the map itself, or does absolutely nothing.

I'm level 91 which I've only hit once before. Currently buying t14 maps so I can complete the tier. I'm at depth 214, currently having no problems at all in delve or in maps. I'm planning to hit depth 300 at least. Currency wise I'm doing OK (not as good as you guys though obviously :) ). I've spent around 5-6 exalts on gear and have another 4 saved up. Mostly spending my chaos on buying maps and progressing to t16 since I don't have time to play a map multiple times and hope for the next tier to drop.

PSA-the Zana mods (a) switch map to an alternate of the same tier and (b) change map to a shaped map don't count towards the achievement count of 300 Zana modded maps. Been using both quite a lot, very nice for SSF to try to flesh out map atlas and are cheap.

First time I'm hearing of the concept. A quick google search reveals obvious reasons to use one. I'll give it a shot next time I play--haven't been able to for the last week or so. Though I'm a bit lost as to what I'm actually supposed to download...

You download the .zip file from here: https://github.com/NeverSinkDev/NeverSink-Filter/archive/6.34.zip
There is a readme.txt in there I'm pretty sure. Basically, you just need to copy over the included loot filter files to your POE appdata folder.
Then within POE, pull up the option menu, go to the UI tab (I think?) and scroll to the bottom and choose loot filter.
It's almost best to do in a level when there is a lot of loot on the ground of varying quality. Then you can apply different filters and see the difference between each one and pick which is best for you.

Are you in the AT guild? It's not exactly active but if you join up, we can help you out with gear and other things.
