Many people consider strict "law and order" enforcement to be a conservative and Republican issue. This is one of those silly gray areas where a conservative would side with the Police or Border Patrol and argue that you have to bow to their authority.
I find this point hypocritical since most Republicans also claim to want to "strictly adhere to the constitution". I often have observed that Republicans only use this idea to denounce democrats and selectively chose to ignore it when it goes against one of their other principles.
My original comment was questioning how an Anti-Socialist, Freedom-loving, Constitution-worshiping person could be so willing to ignore this injustice against an American citizen. I assumed that your "the police are always right" feelings are coming from your Republican Partisan-ness and I called you out on it.
I personally find outrage that our country has been scared into submission so much so that a person who claims to want to follow the constitution to the letter would be willing to sacrifice it. I don't care what side of the spectrum you are on, these border patrol searchers are very questionable and taking his account he was illegally searched and then beaten for non-compliance. Sounds very Soviet Russian to me.
Now for my question, since I tried to answer yours to the best of my ability.
Do you consider yourself a Constitutionalist? Or are your comments because you are a Republican Shill (and by that I mean you agree with the republican party no matter what, however hypocritical it may be)?
If you do love the constitution as much as I hope you do, why does this not bother you?

Again, party affiliation has nothing to do with it. This guy was an idiot. Anyone who doesnt comply with an officer telling them to get out of a vehicle is stupid.
If you feel you are being wronged, take the proper steps later. Sue, file complaints, whatever it takes. If you try and be a hero or an imitation lawyer, only bad things can happen.
There are real incidents of abuse out there, where people who are complying get beat, harrassed, etc. That is who I personally feel sorry for.

Guys, at the point where he is told he is being arrested and doesn't comply, he is breaking the law.
Despite what many of you armchair lawyers seem to believe, officers do NOT need to inform you of why you are being arrested. In fact, they can hold you up to 72 hours without telling you why you have been arrested. After that, however, they must charge you (and tell you at that point).
This guy was clearly acting as if he was hiding something. Any officer worth his salt would become suspicious. At the point where the man starts becoming accusatory and states that an officer is lieing, he's done. When he refuses to get out of the car - he's resisting arrest.
There was no beating here. There's just an attention whore who doesn't know the laws as well as he thinks he does.

This guys problem is he was being detained. He didn't choose his words correctly and got stomped by these fascists. If during the initial stop he asked if he was being detained and not answerign any questions and only asking if he was free to go they would of probably let him go.

well he played into their hands. We went into secondary and from there argued and when the cop tells you yes you are under arrest then you have to comply. After the real cop showed up he should of complied. The amount of agro was uncalled for though.
