Recently I was driving away from the Bay Area and after being stuck in crawling traffic for an hour I passed the scene of the accident causing the slowdown. About a minute later, once the general flow of traffic was up to about 65 mph but still dense, two performance cars driven by people who must have been venting after the hour-long delay shot past, weaving from lane to lane and even into the shoulder to allow them to reach about 100, maybe more. When they got about 500 feet in front of me I saw one of them fly off the right side of the road, over a ditch, and into the steep hillside, clearly totaling the car. Before I could fully register the shock of seeing that, the other car flew off the left side of the road and landed in another deep ditch, leaving the car in an unrecognizable state. I later read that one crash led to a fatality and the other a visit to intensive care.

But hey, maybe they can afford a great hospital or funeral, right?

Your mind would be blown at all of the old asian ladies with E63's, S63's that drive 65 mph exactly on the freeway.

Around here there are only two types of people that drive E63, ML63, GL63, S63, CLS63:

Young punks who are either drug dealers or who have rich parents

Older to very old white ladies (And yup, they drive slooooooow.)

Heh I've never understood people wanting to drive ex-cruiser Crown Vics/etc. It's a pain in the ass driving a CV...everybody's slow around you.

The on ramp cockroach scatter is wonderful. Everyone is on their best behavior. Left lane opens up and your gone. I miss my crown vic.

I see them every fucking day and it drives me nuts. The last S63 AMG I saw though was a bit more nippy but it was driven by the king of douches too.
I thought you said you drive a Civic?

If you are getting so riled up about the way other people drive, it is likely that you have a problem. How much do you let the road rage escalate? If you are just whining on forums, that is ok. If you take it further to try to provoke those cars that should be going faster, then you might want to seek some kind of anger therapy.

Just out of curiosity, what Bay area highway were you driving that has no barrier in the center?

I've been seeing a lot of Buick Regal Turbos with old ladies behind the wheel. Lifetime Buick buyers, I guess. Then again, who makes an old person car these days? Toyota?

These are the kind that walk into the MB dealer and say I want the most expensive s class you have. Then pay cash.
