Partition Magic 8 problem

I merged 2 partitions back together using PM8, and it created a folder in the resulting partition containing data I had from the second partition before merging.

Problem is, I can't delete the folder now. It gives me a generic "make sure folder is not write-protected/isn't in use by another program" message.

Anyone know how to work around this? I've tried Googling with no luck.

I tried booting up in safe mode into a Command Prompt, but DOS doesn't even know the folder is there. I go "del foldername" and it says it can't find the file. Within XP, it knows it's there, but as mentioned, refuses to access, modify, or delete it...

Well, the curious thing is that the folder is actually empty, as I had no data to save from the second partition. PM8 did not give me an option not to make a folder however.

So all I'm trying to do is delete an empty folder!

Right click on it and tell us what the properties say.
It is Read-Only, but it has a horizontal line (dash) through it, it's not actually "selected" with a full fledged checkmark or what not.

I've tried getting rid of it but it always refuses as mentioned before (cannot be modified).
