He was said to pass by 6 theaters with the same movie playing that did not have "gun free" signs. I have no idea if that is true but it is a fact that the Aurora did have a "gun free" sign.
Certainly 20 or 30 CCW holders out of 1500 in this case and at this time could have lowered the number killed.

I don't doubt it has been said, just as I don't doubt it is utter BS.

There were 1500 people there and they never stood the slightest chance. At least they deserved a chance to go down fighting. The current reporting is saying there were only 3 guys doing the shooting. The grenades and ak47s don't shoot themselves after the holder is dead. In the US I don't know how many victims out of 1500 would have a gun, but even one might have helped.

About the shooter passing theaters I simply don't know, but the gun free zone was a fact.
How things would work out if there were CCW holders there is also an unknown, but it would be nice for the innocents to have a chance. I even wonder if a CCW holder would have the necessary nerve to fire on the shooter let alone hit them.
