so, my parents are thinking of getting a new car.............

i had been complaining about them wanting to get a ford focus 2004 instead of a nissan sentra and they were looking around. they say with gas prices high, they are going to trade in the familys ford excursion for a ford focus 2004. i dont like the idea but i also dont have a job. well, they came home and my mom just came upstairs and said that they decided not to get the focus, they said that they could get the kia rio at the same dealership for 3 grand cheaper. i was in shock. i hate the way the focus looks but god, a kia? i went downstairs and saw the excursion still parked in the garage and i said, whats the deal? they then laughed in my face and they said, makes you appreciate the idea of a ford focus eh?

When YOU start paying the bills, then YOU can decide what kind of car you want. Until then, shut your fvcking mouth you whiney bitch.

Where does he say the car was for him? All I see is the "familys ford excursion" for a ford focus. He probably doesn't like the focus as it will likely be passed on to him in the future. As far as I'm concerned, you all made dumbasses out of yourselves.

Hey moron, he clearly states he has no job, therefore he probably drives the family vehicle when he can. So he doesn't want to be seen in a "lowly" Focus of Kia. My point is that until he gets a job and starts paying for things himself, he has no right to bitch and whine about what cars his parents purchase. Oh, so he doesn't like the Focus because it will passed onto him? TOUGH SH|T!!! Get a fvcking job and get the car you want. Otherwise shut your piehole and drive what you are given.

Who's the dumbass now, Sh|tbrick?

Who are you to say whether he can or can not have input as to which car his parents get next? Why's everybody getting all hot and bothered about this?

You're right. I am no one to be saying he can have no input. I am not the one that raised an unappreciateive little snit who cries because he doesn't like the kind of car I am purchasing with MY hard earned moeny, with NO contribution from him other than the occasional tank of gas he remembers to refill. But if I were his parents, I would tell him to STFU and start coughing up some cash if he wants to have say in things. MY house, MY rules. MY cash, MY f'ing car. Get it now?

One can only pray that you never become a parent, you would probably be the type found at the childs sporting events, yelling frantically and just being an all around jacka$$. And if you are a parent, I pitty your kids for living with such a wacko.

Dude, every time a kid mentions he has a car that isn't 25 years old, he gets major hate from everyone on this board. At first I felt like a hater too because I worked for everything I wanted, but it gets old.

I never had a single person 'hate' on me when I posted about my truck... I think it's just all these new members running rampid and infesting my precious forums :p

Again another intellectual giant misses the point. It's the parent's money and decision to make, not anyone else's, especially when he's insistent on a "cool" car as opposed to a "practical" one. What isn't being stated, is the underlying hope that Dad will become incompetant and allow Junior to have the car, which will be immeadiately "Riced". :D
EVERY generation goes through this in one form or another.

My 2000 FOCUS wagon has been a dream. Consistently good gas mileage, ZERO breakdowns or equipment failure. If they made a version like a truck, I'ld buy that, too.

And how many children have you raised?
You're an idiot if you think that children, especially those without a job, have any input into a major financial decision.

Yeah, if I could easily afford to give my kids (assuming I ever have any) a car, I wouldn't. Instead I would spit in his/her face every single day, steal their shoes, and make them walk 10 miles a day to go to school.

Wow. What a fvcking nutjob you are.

I'm no psychologist, but it sure sounds like you didn't come from a loving family where family members would talk about big purchases to get opinions from those they cared about. The ultimate decision obviously would rest on the person or people paying regardless. I really feel sorry for you.
