Donato's > Pizza Hut > Domino's >= PJ

I really like Pizza Hut's crust, but Donato's uses better ingredients than any of the others...

PJ's has dipping sauce? Oh you mean the garlic dipping stuff? MrsHoneybee loves that, I don't care for it.

I thought that was Pizza Hut?

Home made pizza owns any of the garbage mentioned here, and it is easy to make! People are so lazy. My barbecue chicken pizza takes any of these fools to school, and it costs about the same because I use quality ingredients, I bet papa johns spends about a dollar on the ingredients for one of their pizzas.
Thing is, that takes planning, prep work, and vigilance.
Pap John's: place order, wait, pay, eat.
I've only made pizza from scratch once, and it was outstanding.

I sometimes make my own, because actual butter and garlic (smash some clvoes of garlic with a knife, shred them with a small fork, stick them in the butter in a double-boiler as you melt it) is SO good, and the only downside is that you'll end up with a cutting board, knife, fork, boiler-bowl-thing, and bowl to clean 🙂.

But...but....it's more of a hot deal if you eat them because you get more food for your money. 😛

I'm not following the logic. in my neck of the woods at least, all then good sit-down pizza places also deliver. thus, when I hear of people ordering from craptastic places like Papa Johns, Pizza Hut, or Dominos, I'm totally confused.

You're either in a city or lucky, then. 'Round here, only the pizza chains and crappy chinese places deliver.

Our wondrous, award winning , mom & pop shop, is only marginally better than our local Papa John's. It costs just as much, and they take forever to deliver. I can't order it online, and have no idea what their current specials or coupons are. I'm not about to quiz the girl over the phone, about what would be the best combination of pizzas to order to get the best deal. They don't have the unusual selections that Papa John's offers, either. They'll get my business a couple times per year, but the convienience of Papa John's beats them almost everytime.

Want me to go over that again, more slowly?

Actually I had a bad experience with pappa johns . They delivered a near frozen couple of pies, not what I ordered.I paid and tipped the driver and called to complain . I was basically told to deal with it . Which I have now for the last 5 years by not calling back . fabopj.(fxkabunchofpappajohns)

Am trying it for the first time, got a 16 inch with the works, a 14 inch pepperoni,a 10 inch cheese, cheese sticks, and garden veggie with chicken.

Yummy ! the dipping sauce rocks too 😛

that sure is a lot of pizza 🙂

I usually get 14inch the works subbing as much as the online form will let me.. swap the pepperoni for chicken, the ham for tomatoes 🙂

we had papa someone else's when we were in utah for christmas.. I can't remember that papa's last name but it was take-n-bake pizza and they don't have any of those joints in south carolina but that was mighty good pizza.. the stuffed chicken one was especially tasty and if they had those places here, I probably would give up ordering pizza all together.

When PJ was starting out years ago their pizza was kickass, some of the best you could get. Now that they are a big corporation they follow the corp. bottom line of giving the consumer less for more. Dominos is the same.

I think there's really some truth to that...back around '97 or '98 when Papa John's first hit my area the pizza was really good, it really did taste very fresh....over the past couple of years I've noticed that the dough has gotten worse and it doesn't have that fresh taste that it used to...definitely a different pizza. Domino's is the same way but they started going downhill long before that. The only time I order from Domino's is when I'm getting wings. Alot of the local shops around here give you tiny 4ss wings w no meat on them...Domino's are always big and the sauce is alright.

When I was in college, I gave my Norweigen roommate a few slices of pizza from Papa John's. He liked it so much that he asked how to order pizza so I showed him. The next year, I saw him at a tennis match (he was on the team) and everyone was shouting, "Good shot Papa!!!" Evidently, the only thing he ever ate was Papa John's pizza. 😛 They said he'd eat it 3 meals a day.

HAHA Awesome story. Papa Johns is only good when I'm really hungry.
