Why is that guy in all his commercials? Is he that arrogant? Can't he afford to pay some D list actor? I figure with all the money he makes from his shit pizza he'd be rolling in the dough by now (HILARIOUS PUN OMG)
 
I don't think Papa John's pizza is all that bad. I don't think it is all that great either, but it isn't too bad.
 
Branding. He started when Papa John's wasn't nearly as prosperous as it is now, and he continues because he is very much the public face of the company. Remember Dave Thomas of Wendy's?
 
I actually think Domino's new pizza is decent -- better than Papa John's. Still though, the only time I'd ever order from a pizza chain is if I'm on the road in a hotel somewhere.

I have never had Papa John's pizza, as far as I know.

I recently had Domino's for the first time is a while and found it surprisingly good.
