You've clearly never tasted good pizza.

He said fast food pizza. In my area (Papa Johns, Dominoes, Pizza Hut, Little Cesar's, Hungry Howies, Cici's) it's the best there is. Sure, there are plenty of local good places, but that wasn't what he was taking about.

 Fast food pizza? Is there any other kind? Any pizza joint will have take out and have it ready in 15-20 minutes. What's the difference between a good local place and shitty chain pizza? Well, aside from the quality of course...Coupons? Buy one get one free deals?

I can make better pizza than papa johns using Trader Joe's crust and fresh store bought ingredients.

Yeah, perhaps "fast food pizza" wasn't the description I was looking for. Maybe "big chain cheap pizza" would be closer to what I was meaning to say.

I have had great pizza in my life and it has always been from a smaller local pizza joint. I grew up near Chicago, so I definitely know what good pizza is :p

Fair enough.

I'm from upstate NY, so I definitely know what good pizza is too. ;) No national pizza chain even comes close to good NY pizza.

Anchovies suck and the oceans should be polluted until they all die!

You couldn't be more wrong! Anchovies are a gift to the human race, I should know, I eat them by the boat load and they're delicious! Although no one ever wants to go in on an anchovy pizza when ordering as a group. I blame it on their naivety.

Meh, I've had fresh anchovies on pizza and baked on as well. I can take fresh ones but the taste bakes into the pizza when you cook it with anchovies. Not a big fan and I rarely order anchovies even on the side when I get pizza.

I imagine papa johns pizza with anchovies would be like eating cardboard with whale asshole, salt and fish oil on it.

I think eating anything from papa john's is pretty much as you described, anchovies or not.

I guess you're a big fan of San Diego's own "Bronx Pizza."

Honestly, I haven't tried it. Pizza Port isn't bad and Two Brother from Italy is good for takeout but I haven't found anything that compares to the pizza back where I grew up. I usually just make my own.
