Aaron Brooks wasn't completely terrible last year in Oakland. The guy is still relatively young, though compared to Testaverde even Dick Clark is like a teenager, he still has a good arm, and most importantly he'd still be one of the top 5-6 mobile QBs in the NFL.
He could be completely blind for all I care... as long as he can hit Smith when he calls for the ball.Originally posted by: mwmorph
Isn't Testarverde colorblind?

That's impressive coming in on only 4 days practice. I don't care how old he is.

Why? They need a quarter back.

Wow. So long and thanks for the ride, Panthers. See you all again next season. I hate to be a fairweather fan, but when a team signs Testaverde, its not to save the season or to make the playoffs. Its because they're desperate for a guy who can stand behind the center, that's all. The Panthers are now the only team in NFL history with two #1 overall first round picks at QB, but it sure doesn't feel that way. Hopefully Carr can stay healthy and improve his game, otherwise this is gonna be painful to watch.
Was Testaverde even the best option?
He played for the Pats all last year (2006 season).Originally posted by: Excelsior
Although to be fair, Vinny had an awful last year @ the Jets.
