 I saw someone do that on Food Network the other day. Never thought about it before then. I've always used the George Foreman grill. Also works well.

Yep, the heating element must have broken, doesn't warm up & the indicator lights won't come on... Double checked the outlet, it works fine.

noes... not on my beautiful Calphalon cookware:(

we have Calphalon also, tinfoil protects the pan and also you dont need to gring teh bick on teh pan just place it on top of your sammich

Typing one handed again Anubis?

Thanks for the tip, but it sort of screws up my whole "fill the kitchen with small appliances" concept

;)

That would be the mad scientist of food himself, Alton Brown.

My culinary hero.

Really, the panini maker is the only silly appliance,.

My must have list is:

Slow cooker
food processor
rice maker
deep fryer
stand mixer (just sold my massive Kitchenaid on eBay, wife hated that it wouldn't fit under the cabinets...)
Bread maker (I'm lazy)

Sweet, just got a brand new replacement from Krups:D

One of my favorite things about Amazon is the ability to find old reciepts & print them, just dug it out of my history, printed it & sent it as proof of warranty coverage:)

Time to go buy some deli meat/cheese.

He he, just saw this, I think Anubis could kick my culinary ass... I didn't figure out till recently that I shouldn't use kosher salt for baked goods:confused:

Although I did heat up a killer smoked brisket last night...

I'm in favor of banning food threads to somewhere other than OT. They make work harder than it already is :(

I hate when my kitchen stuff breaks.

My toaster and my crock pot went at the same time. :(

Hey, I am a damn good cook. Learned how from my sister and brother-in-law. She is a certified pastry chef, he helped pay his way through college as a chef for a sorority house.

I just don't have any major kitchen disasters that make it into ATOT. :p
