This.
They do this to people all the time, voluntarily too.

Ever watch a maury episode where they have people with arachnophobia and they bring out bunches of huge spiders?

Fucking douchebags judging a whole race of people, if not an entire continent for a few here, based on their misconceived notions about an internet videos need to be locked up in a portapotty and set on fire.

yes, or we could stick you in a box with somthing of your worst nightmare and watch your agony? A tank full of sharks? hmmm A tank full of shark with lasers on their heads? I cant wait to watch you squirm.

And the proper way to introduce animals, is slowly get them used to each other. Ie put them in cages next to other so they smell each other
after a period of time put a sheet of perspex up so the can see each other
after a period of time put bars between them so they can safetly interact.

Remove bars.

This method worked for me, my rottweiler has raised two kittens.

it looks like the bear was scared to everything...maybe they were trying to get it acclimated to other animals.

Yeah, they suck at training if that is what it was. Ceasar would have that bear in a stance of dominance in about a half hour:)

I want you to live with sharks ... I'll start slowly, you only have to free swim with two of them. Please note, you need to remain calm ...

I'll do that, hell most sharks are quite indifferent to humans.

Uh yah - I'll be putting you into an environment with animals you don't know much about, and have a history of attacking foreign things. But to them, it could be playing or investigating.

Thing is, the lion cubs were more at risk than the bear. Bear cubs are only social with mom and litter-mates. Other than that, their natural behavior is to be fearful. The lion cubs, being cats, are naturally curious, and being lions are predisposed to being social because of pride behavior. The bear cub could have flipped out and actually attacked the lion cubs, in self defense, when they got too close. Thankfully it didn't.

So, did you actually read what I wrote? Where did I say this was a good thing or that I enjoyed it? Did you even watch all of that video either? I take it you've never been around a kid who was completely scared of something until they learned there wasn't anything to be scared of? The bear was not in any danger so that argument has no merit.

Sure if the tank of sharks were absolutely known to be safe like baby lions, and I'm going to have to live with them for the rest of my life, might as well get my fears over with all at once rather than to cower in fear all my life.

What you got against Redux? Besides, it's not like you even have to click for it to play, it just does.

I have to click for it to play. I'll agree that a lot of these 3rd party video sites are a pain in the ass for people who use noscript for an added layer of security on their computers. Sometimes, I'll notice that there are 10 or more different sites trying to run scripts at the same time from one web page - I have to figure out which one controls the video. Often, I just say forget it & move on.

Agreed. However, the majority of fainting goat breeders do not intentionally scare their goats intentionally, because they recognize that it's the wrong thing to do. Exceptions are made, of course, on special occasions, such as when a news crew (or Dirty Jobs) is filming the animals so that they can get footage of the animals fainting.

Thus, it comes down to the intention of the filming. Is this a one time thing to demonstrate to the public the bear's hatred of lions, and delayed reaction time to fear? And, in doing so, try to increase public support (money) for the zoo? If so, the little harm done to the bear isn't permanent. Not much different from putting a plastic snake on the kitchen counter to frighten your mother. But, if they did this every day (or you devise different methods every day of making your mother scream), then they're a little fucked up.

We never scare our neighbor's goat intentionally, we get thunder often enough. if one of us is home and the neighbors are not, we go put her in her house. She is trying to get there but she keeps keeling over, poor baby.
