You're really quite dense.

The ONE LINE IN THE WHOLE FUCKING SHOW was a reference to Palin. The rest had ZERO to do with her. I'm still 100% confident you haven't watched it, so I'm done discussing this with you.

Yeah I think we are done here. You are blinded by your own partisanship that you only see and hear what you want to.

Good day sir.

^ Liberal Elitist ^

😀

^ Makes assumptions too easily ^

I'm neither liberal or conservative. I have leanings both left and right.

You perfectly exemplified my point. If I point out Palin's obvious shortcomings regarding her political knowledge or even common sense, I must be "elitist."

Why do you consider it a negative if someone wants more from their leaders than catch phrases, empty metaphors, or a folksy backwoods dialect?

Ok, well for the sake of me not being partisan (let's see, I've defended Rush Limbaugh and attacked Sarah Palin both in this thread already, clearly I'm partisan), please enlighten me then, since you've DEFINITELY watched this episode and are NOT talking out of your ass, as to how this was in any way insulting towards Sarah Palin, her family, or people with down syndrome in general.

Thank you.

check your sarcasm meter, unless it's in the shop 😉

Sooooooo
to all the palin apologists, So she's correct in her backpedalling on the 'r' word, but her outrage on this is justified?
Me no get, can you 'splain?

Stay on target

You clearly haven't watched the episode. Come back when you have.

And I'm about the most non-partisan person around. I think both parties are hacks. I, like most rationale minded people, also do think that Sarah Palin is a complete moron who fabricates being insulted to gain support. Hence, what we have here today.

Besides, the whole point of the OP's post is to show what a partisan hack Palin is (and you apparently), because this is shameful, but Rush using the same word is a-ok. Right. (I'm not saying Rush was wrong to use the word either, I just don't think this is any different)

At least OReilly called her out on that one. Rightfully so.

Oops... Beaten to the 'sarcasm meter' twice. FWIW, I completely agree with you on Palin. 🙂

Palin: Tea Partiers need to pick a party
Posted: February 17th, 2010 11:41 AM ET
(CNN) - Tea Party favorite Sarah Palin took a practical approach to this grassroots political movement Tuesday, telling Arkansas Republicans that Tea Party candidates will not win unless they join an established political party.
"Now the smart thing will be for independents who are such a part of this Tea Party movement to, I guess, kind of start picking a party," Palin said at an Arkansas GOP fundraising event Tuesday, according to CBS News.
"Which party reflects how that smaller, smarter government steps to be taken? Which party will best fit you? And then because the Tea Party movement is not a party, and we have a two-party system, they're going to have to pick a party and run one or the other: 'R' or 'D'."
The comments come 10 days after Palin addressed the so-called first ever Tea Party Convention in Nashville, where she praised the decentralized movement as consisting of "real people, not politicos, inside-the-beltway professionals."
"America is ready for another revolution and you are a part of this," Palin said at the Nashville speech.

JUST ANOTHER POLITICIAN^^^ No matter how "folksy" she appears to be.

why do you liberals care about Sarah Palin? 😕

if it wasn't for AT P&N, I'd probably forget about her existence entirely and be pretty happy about it.

Because the attention whore can't keep herself from the front of a camera. It is she who will not go away and if she's going to lead the teabaggers I'm all for it. 😀

Bummer, that's what happens when one chooses a public life.

Remember all the crap Clinton's daughter took or Jimmy Carter and his brother Billy?

I don't see Obama's daughters being attacked. Either way, Jimmy Carter and Clinton were POTUS.. Palin is not.. unless you are implying some secret desire for her to be so?

Either way, I agree with Rahm.. and will expand it to ALL liberals are fucking retards. 😱 Well, all of them except you Red.. you're a nice guy.. I've been too mean to you lately.

it reminds me of John Mayer... the shtick stops working if you stop paying attention to it.

Doesn't Palin's semi-coherent ramblings, folksy diatribe, and ignorant hypocrisy kid of set her up to be made fun of?

Can she honestly expect to say things like "pal'ing around with terrorists," "all of them (in response to what newspapers or magazines she reads)," "hopey-changey thing," etc. and not be a target for parody or insults?

When George Bush was elected, so many people seemed to identify with his bewildered approach to politics and attributed it to him being a "John Everyman" type of guy (which belies his pampered upbringing as a politician and oil tycoon family's son). For some reason, Palin has taken this a step further by not even being "Jill Everyman" but "Susie Shortbus" and some people relish over this as a quality of leadership -- as though our leaders should be average Joe Schmoes instead of the best the country has to offer.

It's a basic manipulation technique for people who don't understand it - create resentment and get the support of the people it's created in.

It's creating an 'affinity' - Bush's 'nuk-yoo-lur' made people who were already voting against him do so even more, but it got him the 'sympathy' against the 'elites' of people who had been 'insulted' for such things.

When Bush saw his father lose a Congressional race in Texas by being called an 'ivy league elitist' by a guy who seemed 'a Texas man of the people', he reportedly said he'd never make that mistake again.

Hence buying the 'ranch' just before running for President.

It's why you see the right use this technique on the right-wing evangelists, who used to vote somewhat on moral issues like the poor Democrats are better on, to convince the evangelicals that they're 'under assault' from the left, who is 'elitiist' to them and wants to tell them what to do, wipe them out - with a few cheap words that the Republicans are 'with them', a cheap stunt using Terry Schiavo, a few 'code words' put in speeches that make them say "oh, HE isn't afraid to use our phrases, he belongs, he's our guy!", the whole "war on Christmas" nonsense - they manipulate the evangelicals to resent Democrats.

Even while they mock them as 'nuts' behind their back.

It's Democrats who treat the people better - who think ebough of them to give them the courtesy of honest disagreement and argue 'facts', not the manipulation of "the big bad Democrats insulted you!" crap.
