Pointing out the obvious doesn't mean I care if they did it.

Like I said earlier....I thought it was funny.

Notice how she tried to segregate out the division of Fox that provides entertainment by calling it Fox Hollywood. More red meat for the idoits as if that part of Fox is seperate from the parent.

No shit... So clearly caribou barbie is a total fucktard in licking rush's taint, while being pissed at Family Guy. Actually she didn't need the Family Guy incident to prove her fucktardary imo.
On the vague chance that someone nearby you can explain this to you, Rush actually used the word in a parody of Rahm Emanuel using the word. In other words, he used the word in making fun of Emanuel for using it. There's a wee bit of difference in someone using a term as a pejorative and someone else using the word to make fun of him for doing so.

Personally I think it's a perfectly good word with an accepted meaning. Abandoning the term will not increase the intelligence of those meeting its definition, although arguably abandoning its use as a pejorative could increase their sense of self-worth and therefore their quality of life.

And I'm old enough to remember when Family Guy was actually funny.

Yeah you guys are so consistant...

Palin: using the word retard, bad
Rush Limbaugh using the word retard, good
Dave Letterman making a sex joke about Palins adult daughter who is already having sex ,bad
Rush Limbaugh referring to the looks of a 12 yr old Chelsea Clinton as a dog, good

Oh and BTW - Limbaugh used the word "retard" as a pejorative.

Link? Everything Rush does is archived so it shouldn't be too hard to provide a link to an actual audio clip of him doing so.

Letterman made the joke about Palin's minor (I think twelve or fourteen) daughter - although I admit he might have thought she was of age. Judging by his behavior - twelve or fourteen would have been enough for him.

Limbaugh's referring to Chelsea Clinton as a dog was not good, it was very bad. He began a story about her and the background monitor showed a picture of a dog. He then acted surprised and insulted and blamed his staff, later claiming that the guy was fired. I have my doubts that a staffer would do such a thing without his prior knowledge and consent, but either way it was very wrong. At least she has had the satisfaction of going from an ugly duckling to a very attractive young lady.

What exactly was the attack on Palin's son? I know the girl in the cartoon says that her mom is the former governor of Alaska, but what is the attack exactly? I admit that I only watched the 10 second clip of that episode.

It is obviously referring to Sarah Palin, and I don't see how that is debatable. I know that if I were in her spot, I would not want this episode to air... but at the same time, I'm not really sure how to describe the reason that it's offensive, either.

I guess if I had to pick a reason it's because this show has a reputation of mocking and trashing everything else, so if you're referenced in that show, you must be getting mocked? Pretty weak argument..

And yet when Lois and Stewie played the final round on Family Feud, Lois gave her typical grounded correct answers, while Stewie answered in his own twisted, and hilarious way.

Richard Dawson: All right, something you sit in.
Lois: A chair.
Stewie My own feces.
Richard: A popular fruit.
Lois: An orange.
Stewie: Clay Aiken.
Richard: Something you find in your closet.
Lois: Shoes.
Stewie: Scary monsters.
Richard: Your favorite holiday.
Lois: Christmas.
Stewie: 9/11.
Richard: Something you do on the weekends.
Lois: Go to church.
Stewie: Black guys.

No faux outrage at Stewies favorite holiday? Or weekend activities? I think the first one may be a tad more offensive than an independent, self reliant girl suffering from Down Syndrome.

Here ya go...

36 sec "bunch of people who are retards" He claimed quoting Rahm Emanual when that was not possible since he was actually talking about Emanual and WH staff"

52 sec "retard summit" Can't claim quote here

Let's be a little more accurate here about Letterman. The joke was obviously referring about Bristol. Staffers were a bit too lazy to check on which daughter was at the game. Everyone knew that but Palin ran with it. Libaugh didn't have an excuse since Clinton only had one daughter (at least that we know about). Besides Dave only bangs adult staffers unlike your hero who goes for underage male hookers.

Sarah Palin reminding us all, yet again, what an idiotic hypocrite she is.

Makes me wonder in awe what level she'll have to take it to before teabaggers notice.

More victimhood from Sarah Palin. The Republican party & tea partys great hope. She's an attention whore, but it seems to be working quite well. Keeping her name in the "news" is good for her new business. Too bad Family Guy is never satirical like Rush Limbaugh, or she might have given them a pass. I thought she had said it was okay to mock retards if it was satire, like Limbaugh did. Surely she understands that The Family Guy is more satirical than Limbaugh. And they are doing it on Fox, her own employer. I wonder if this will be covered on Fox News, and if so what sort of spin they'll take toward their Newscorp sister company. Maybe ole Rupert started the idea.

"Hey Sarah. This is Rupert. Listen, The Family Guy's been slumping a bit, so here's the deal. We're going to do an episode about you. You get all outraged and scream about it, okay? It'll make you points with your base and all the damn liberal retards will start watching in case we do it again. Win, win, right? You betcha!"

Sarah, honey...when you eat at the trough with pigs, you're a pig.

Manufactured outrage and crocodile tears are as much Palin's specialties as offensive satire is Family Guy's, so this isn't too surprising. Phony "Woe is me! That a delicate flower such as I should be the victim of the basest satired bullying!" Nonsense has been one of the only reliable ways to keep her front-and-center in the media lately, so we should pretty much expect this whenever any media outlet dares speak her name without her preferred (and equally phony) epithets ("Governor," for example). I find it hilariously psychopathic that Palin still makes people call her Gov'nah. is it really proper to insist that people call you Governor when you resigned in disgrace. Should we call Rod Blagojevich Governor? She abandoned her civic duty post so she could make money by trading on the very title she abandoned. Well done

Yet Another Palin Thread

Proving there are way way way bigger idiots right here than Sarah Palin, idiots, who, in their desperate need to find somebody they can ridicule, will make her the kind of fame to become President.

My greatest fear is that when Palin does become President, I'm going to laugh myself to death watching the reaction. I'm sure you Palin obsessed fools will find ways to out do the clowns you already are.

-1 for making me watch Olbermann, but I agree, that can't be called a parody. Limbaugh used the term precisely the way Emanuel used it, or appeared to from the clip. As I said I'm not bothered by it in either case, but those who are should be consistent in their outrage. I disagree about Letterman - I don't see why anyone would assume he was speaking about an absent daughter rather than the daughter actually present - but then I had zero respect for Letterman anyway so I don't care about that either. And I already agreed about Limbaugh and Chelsea Clinton, it was deplorable (and she is pretty hot now, the best revenge.)

And evidently I have no idea whom is my hero, since underage male hookers only rings a bell with some democrat Congressmen and some televangelists. No hits there.

Has there ever been anyone ridiculed into power? I like Palin quite a bit and I wouldn't vote for her, so I have a hard time imagining her ever achieving the presidency.

Here, I'll let someone much more intelligent and more central to the whole dust-up explain it all to you:

My name is Andrea Fay Friedman. I was born with Down syndrome. I played the role of Ellen on the "Extra Large Medium" episode of Family Guy that was broadcast on Valentine's day. Although they gave me red hair on the show, I am really a blonde. I also wore a red wig for my role in " Smudge" but I was a blonde in "Life Goes On". I guess former Governor Palin does not have a sense of humor. I thought the line "I am the daughter of the former governor of Alaska" was very funny. I think the word is "sarcasm".

In my family we think laughing is good. My parents raised me to have a sense of humor and to live a normal life. My mother did not carry me around under her arm like a loaf of French bread the way former Governor Palin carries her son Trig around looking for sympathy and votes.

Are you Down with smartening yourself up a bit now?

Because keeping up the pretense that you can't quite comprehend what an opportunistic, hypocritical bag of Arctic-chilled moose douche Sarah Palin is is just plain retarded! :awe:

Ehh, I was more mad that it was a weak episode myself other then the one quote from Peter:

"12 years old, young, or 12 years old, she's been drinking a lot of milk and is well-developed? That's real, BTW."

Or where Meg queefed in the tub.

Hah. Awesome. I can't wait to see Palin's response to that one.

She also did an interview with the NY Times about it:

Let see who was busted on a return trip from the Dominican Republic (known for availability of underage male prostitutes), with a planeload of guys, a falsified perscription for Viagra containing an odd number of pills.

I'll let you figure it out.
