<< Well at least its equal opportunity now.
edit: I take that back. Its not equal opportunity, the Palestinians were not able to deny ambulance access to them. :| >>
...and there's still no Israeli suicide bombers popping up at cafes or shopping malls >>
Ok, here's my idea then. Give the palestinians a starting bankroll of $2 billion dollars a year so they can fight "properly". This would include the training and building of a trained armed forces, the outfitting of these troops with guns, grenades, machine guns, perhaps a few tanks and some nice missiles to launch.
Fair is fair right? $2 billion/year will match our contribution to israel's military each year. Or perhaps we could match to the palestinians what we have given isreal since its inception-$95 billion, in one lump sum.
If we are so committed to stopping terrorism then perhaps its just best to enable the palestinians to fight properly. No need to committ "terrorism" when you have billions in arms aid flowing to you every year. 🙂 >>
One problem, Israel kicked their collective asses three times before the US offered any signifigant support.
And if you don't think the surrounding Arab nations have tried supplying the Palestinians, you're mistaken. They secretly support them just enough to carry on a terrorist campaign, but not enough for full scale war. Why? Because a full scale war would quickly end this conflict and end with Palestinian refugees flooding the Arab countries.
They quicky (OK, not so quickly) found out they could not beat Israel in a conventional war. This is all they've got: A terrorist campaign linked to a spurious cry of victimhood.
