Wow, you really are a dork. I did not believe all the PMs I received about it, but they were apparently right.

The one which surprised me was from a user named "Lemon's Mom". She said some very bad things about you. Seems even she does not like you.

Links for support or your mom and I will laugh about you.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hate to tell you cybrfool, there is a real my actual Lemon Mom, but she is the black sheep of the family because she is a technophobe about communication by computer. So sorry, you won't find her online.

But for what its worth, she reads world news and follows current world events using the printed media. And she also agrees with my assessment of Pakistan. But you will just have to take my word on that, as your kindergarten threat of telling my Mommy on me is an epic fail. My Mommy is 84 now, and you are the stupidity she has always disliked.

And no I don't live in her basement, I have my own house 45 miles away.

But cheer up cybrfool, I won't blame your mother for your own stupidity.

PS edit in and cybrfool quote, " Wow, you really are a dork. I did not believe all the PMs I received about it, but they were apparently right.
The one which surprised me was from a user named "Lemon's Mom". She said some very bad things about you. Seems even she does not like you."

So I checked, as I wondered if there was such an actual anandtech user named Lemon Mom? So I tried to send that user a PM, and found there is no such user name on Anandtech. So I conclude we can add known total liar to your other defects.

I'm genuinely interested in this topic. It sucks the fringe elements on this forum dominate the discussion. Much like the media covering American politics.

Is this recent event, where the 28 Pakistanis died a relevant one? Or is it just another event that has no significance as long as the US continue to pays?

At least you ask a good but unanswerable question. As its hard to tell if this will revert back to the same ole same ole quagmire, or the start of a joint Afghan Pakistani effort to get rid of Nato. And a repeat of Maliki said to GWB in 2008, agree to a timed withdrawal of the USA from Iraq by 12/31/2008, or we will revoke your presence far sooner.

But the US Military is like the proverbial 800 lb gorilla that can sleep where ever it wants to. But that 800 lb gorilla never sleeps well, when it has a nasty addiction of always sleeping on ant hills.

I thought Obama was going to fix all this? He was going to talk to these people. Reason with them. Let them know America was not the enemy. WTF happened?!

Over 600 posts in just over a week? I warned you all about this guy and his horrendous history among other forums over the years.

Overwhelm a thread with repetitively intentional misquotes, misinformation, and strawman arguments all out of a personal jolly to witness forum members get into a huff. Before losing account priviledges in multiple other forums, he has been on public record at least once for explaining a goal of provoking arguments and frustration.

Guys, it's best not to feed him. With more of such posting as above, he will hopefully also do himself in here.

lol..... that's actually quite a good post. I can disagree with you on some stuff you post....... I'm always willing to agree with common sense, logic, "accurate-as-possible" info.

Honestly though, I think that this considerable death-toll @ the hands of NATO(regardless of 1st offender) will just be another irrelevant blip in the relatively long term bullshit truce between the semi-terrorist state Pakistan and the West's NATO.

Prior to the US invasion of Afghanistan, the tribal areas of Pakistan were peaceful, happy, even if they were backward. With no Taliban or Al-Quida following as modern Pakistan just ignored them.

Now the Tribal areas of Pakistan are in open rebellion, as they hate the Pakistani army almost as badly as Nato.. As Al-Quida and Taliban popularity goes from zero to almost universal.

As for the 90% of the modern Pakistani population, Taliban type ideas have no buyers.

You sound just like this segment of Team America by saying the tribal areas were peaceful and happy prior to Russian intervention...Its anything but. That region has been a mess for ages and the high rate of religious fanatics it spawns is probably why.

This sentence makes no sense. Can you post it again, but this time use words and phrases that combine together into something intelligable?

From what I gather, it appears your mom has fooled you into thinking she is not laughing at your for your vitriolic comments on a forum where you think your posts are important and meaningful. Not sure, though.

But for what its worth, she reads world news and follows current world events using the printed media. And she also agrees with my assessment of Pakistan. And a very sexy 84 year old too.

And no I don't live in her basement, I have my own house 45 miles away.

We are both laughing at this comment. She said your laundry beeped...better grab it before it wrinkles.

The village wrote me a letter and said that you were willing to come back and sit on the well provided they gave you wifi access so you could keep posting here. I am glad things worked out for you. It was sad watching a village that won the "Best Idiot of the Year" drop to the bottom of the heap simply because you wandered off.

Guys, it's best not to feed him. With more of such posting as above, he will hopefully also do himself in here.

Last time I am going to tell you, if you keep staring at my junk with that look of desire in your eyes, I am going to report you for sexual harrassment. You need to ask me out on a date before you can oogle me like that.

For what it is worth, I learned on NPR that an alternate Northern route to supply Afghanistan has finally become operational. And already carries 50% of Afghan supplies.

Which reduces Pakistani leverage regarding Nato military incursions into Pakistan.

But being able to better do it may not be wise, Nato can't control even Afghanistan, why add the Tribal areas to the insufficiency.

 It never made sense that we courted Pakistan, a country full of savages that hate us, our culture and our way of life when India has always been an advanced nation, has given the world so much, adores the Western way of life and Western cultures. Up with India, down the Pakistan.

This has its roots in the cold war. When Indian PM Nehru decided he wished to forge a third, non-aligned path for his and other countries, independent of both the US led block and the Russian led block, we were not happy.

We put a lot of pressure on India. To escape that leverage, he turned to the Russians for some counter-balance, and started buying his arms from them.

Furthermore, he continued the small scale and "home-grown industries" policies pioneered by Gandhi. These protectionist policies protected small local industries from competition from outside global firms, principally Western, American ones. This was not kindly received by American commercial interests.

Pakistan, whose main perceived enemy is and always has been India, gleefully stepped into the breach, proclaiming themselves to us as our stalwart "anti-Communist" ally in the region, from the '50's on.

So, we began to give Pakistan enormous amounts of mostly military aid, which we thought was for anti-communist purposes but which Pakistan ever and always wanted to use to counteract the Indian military.

Now, hopefully, our 50's and 60's and 70's era diplomats weren't quite that naive, but we did plow all this money into Pakistan to pressure and punish India for daring to wish to be independent of our political sphere, and to hopefully insure, no matter how cynically, an ally in Pakistan who would do our bidding in the region.

But you can't buy love or loyalty. Not really.

Internet. Google. Books. Learn History..

The division that entailed Pakistan and Bangladesh from India has plenty of permiating baggage.

Or for it to be easier on ya, it may have helped you to read and absorb Perknose's well written explanation directly above your submission...

I'm guessing from his name, that desi is well-aware of the history between Pakistan and India. I'm guessing his confusion is what the burning of the Indian flag has to do with this news story. (With that said I'm not sure where he got that picture of the Indian flag from.)

The article used the Indian flag pic when he posted it. They changed it now.

I believe that. I also believe that the website might have used a pic from a different event but it also wouldn't surprise me if Pakistanis were hating burning an Indian flag for no reason at all.

Heh. The most recent event I can think of is Pak announcing that they made India as one of their "most favored" trading partner. it is not a big deal really.. but the media in both countries was all over it.

No they didn't, the politicians and business community wanted to BUT the military and ISI asked them to STFU and GTFO so they backtracked.
