Is the pain on the front of your shoulder?

Are you making sure that your shoulders are back like you're trying to squeeze something between your shoulder blades?
I had the same problem earlier this year. I noticed that I was allowing my shoulders to move forward and backward during bench press and pushups.

Is this something new or have you always had this kind of pain?

Sounds like bicep tendonitis or a rotator cuff strain (or both). To be perfectly honest, I would go to the doctor, get a prescription for physical therapy, go see the physical therapist a couple of times to find out exactly what you need to do and just keep doing that on your own. You could just google rotator cuff exercises and such, but this program would be curtailed to your specific injury.

I'm very aware of the proper form for benching but also occurs during pushups.

I think i've always had that 'feeling' but it turns into pain when I push heavy weight.

I plan on seeing a physical therapist out of curiosity![]()
