* Forcible Detention, if the victim is under 18 years of age;
* Indecent Solicitation of an Adult;
* Soliciting for a Prostitute, if the victim is under 18 years of age;
* Pandering, if the victim is under 18 years of age;
* Patronizing, if the victim is under 18 years of age;
* Pimping, if the victim is under 18 years of age; and
* Any attempt to commit the above offenses.

The old "he got busted with a hooker" or "he got busted for sex with his 15 year old girlfriend", argument doesn't work, cause those aren't included.

I agree that true pedophiles are lower than scum, but you've made some factual errors here. First, 1% of 1,000,000 is 10,000, not 1. That level of injustice would be troubling to me. Hopefully, the actual error rate is much lower than 1%.

Second, many of the items in your list can and be used in your "he got busted for sex with his 15 year old girlfriend" example. Some of them have been. I've also read of at least two cases of parents being charged with child pornography (and threatened with sex offender status) for taking innocent pictures of their children. All it takes is an over-zealous prosecutor. From your list:

* Exploitation of a Child;
* Child Pornography;
* Any attempt to commit the above offenses

Others, too, I'm sure. You are probably right. That guy down the street probably is a sick little bastard. Before you crucify him, however, you might want to verify your assumptions. (No, I don't know the outcome of the two cases involving parents and pictures.)

Well I wasn't even going to say anything but we have had two that I have seen on TV this year around here, When they told how many times it happens man, I seen people talking about payment for their debt to society, Rehabilitation, They would not be able to live a normal life after they did their time, The problem is they are not normal and never will be but they think they are and it is just their sex, The one on TV that they were letting out I know more people than me seen it, He said if you let me out I will do it again cause that is my sex, I can say I will never do it again but you say you will never have sex with your wife or girlfriend, You can say it but their will be a time when you have to do it so I am not going to lie, The other one the little girl was not even a year old, It was in Indianapolis, You tell me any man that can have intercourse with a baby can be rehabilitated, Sad part is sooner or later you always see a body that is when they know they are doing something wrong so they have to hide what they do, I don't have kids and don't think I could live through something like that knowing the pain one went through or wrose, Yes I would look into anything that would stop monsters like that
