Pacers v. Pistons Fight Media Links Compiled!

Now if only someone would edit in some soft waltz music & slow the video down during the fight scenes. 🙂

If I had beer thrown at me, you're damn right I'd react, just because you're a fan in the stands doesn't mean doing that has no consequences.

Basically, the people throwing the beer knew what would happen, and they provoked it.

mw, no way...

An OF gets hit with a beer at least once a month in MLB, you don't see that happening

No one knew Artest and Jackson would go nuts like that...

as i posted in the other thread.

the real question is, what does the NBA want to discourage in the future.

both parties were out of line obviously, but just as a player should NEVER go into the stands to hit fans, fans should NEVER throw things on the field of play.

sure, you could say it was only a paper cup, but what if next time, it's a glass bottle, or full can of beer, what if it becomes larger, heavier or bigger stuff?

fans should NEVER be allowed to throw anything on the field of play.

That kid had a smile on his face until Artest started swinging away ! According to Jim Gray, the kid wasn't even the one who threw the cup at Artest. O'Neal did a great Tyson impression on that gangsta wanna-be tho ...

And YOU ARE AN IDIOT.

These players CAN'T DO THIS.

Each person is responsible for themselves.

Throwing punches is not equal to throwing a drink.

The players SHOULD have let the police handle the fans throwing crap. IT was for the police to handle NOT the players to retaliate.

Agreed. It happens in baseball quite often. Milton bradly did something that now seems like nothing [because it wasnt much to begin with] but that was his fault. They are blaming none of this on the players, none of it.

i have no problem with that fight. if ure gonna do that, then expect to be hit bad. hell if i were artest, i would have knocked that ass out.

y dont u try walking up to ANYBODY and throwing soda at them? 9/10 u will get the sh*t beat out of u. none of the pacers should be suspended. they were provoked, and as the guy on ESPN said, they had the right to defend themselves.

Yeah it was a bit ridiculous but you have to admit that he was trying to cool off after a heated incident. This was just the icing on the cake.

Thanks for the links!

The players need to calm their a$$es down. They make millions of dollars a year. When you make that much it's never worth it!

If you watch the video of when Artest gets up from the table and runs into the stands, the guy that he initially goes after still has his drink in hand.

There's not a player in the league who wouldn't have gone after the fan in those circumstances. Particularly right after Artest is trying to be cool from Ben Wallace going after him. They know Artest can be volatile and they tried to provoke him.

Those of you who think its not justified to go after someone like that in those circumstances and that you'd react differently live in a bubble.
