Okay the fans were 100% WRONG. However the players have to be the better man and just walk away from it. Like I said BEER will wash off!!! He didn't have to go on the rampage through the stands where innocent people can be seriously hurt. There are little kids there you know!!

The amount on their paycheck means nothing. If someone threw a pop on me at work and I responded in a similar fashion, I'd expect to be fired. I be shocked if I weren't. Would it be criminal? Most likely not, as it could be seen as self-defense, but I'm still a representation of Meijer's and should have let Security deal with the situation, not myself.

Beer was sprayed on me twice at a football game. I turned around and made it clear, verbally, that he would be ejected if that BS continued... he was quite civil after that.

2nd, this won't be the last time Artest, nor other players of other sports, are hit with cups of beer (or objects). Did Carl "Crazy" Everett jump into the stands after he was hit in the head with a cellphone? Didn't think so, if he can control himself, then so can Artest. The problem lies with Artest, not the fans (although the prick fan who threw it should be incarcerated in the least).

Ok, I read most of the comments and I'm sorry, but the fan is 100% wrong and the player is also 100% wrong. The players should have NEVER EVER gone into the stands. I'm sorry, but if you are a professional athlete of any sort you have to expect to get heckled. To me that's part of the job description of an athlete. Handle retarded fans every single night. They get paid to play at a very high level under a large amount of pressure. Some of that pressure comes from stupid fans. The fan should have never thrown anything, but a player has to almost expect that. The fan should get kicked out, thrown in jail, etc.... The player should just leave it alone and that's it. I'm not saying..."Oh yeah, it's easy, no problem to just ignore it.", but they have to make sure they do whatever they can to not run into the stands and flip out. The fans who throw stuff should be baned from seeing another game again at that stadium and some good jail time for attacking another person.

Classy your doing it again! Try watching the entire video. That guy you show getting clocked by Jackson had nothing to do with any of it all he was trying to do was get out of the way. The guy Artest went after isn't the one shown in your gif and in fact wasn't the guy who threw the cup either. Jackson is a Thug. All he did was run up there looking for a white face to punch. Jackson and Artest will be paying both of those guys serious settlement cash over this. Hell even O' Neal's sliding punch didn't hit the guy who confronted Artest on the floor.
