Just remember that it will come in two parts, maybe three.... focusing more on the features this time than on the benchmarks, all use the same chipset and except for overclocking they pretty much score the same. ;)

It should be very interesting to see how the market developed in the last 2 months. Some boards/bios are more mature now and hopefully more mobos can be recommended/purchased.

As a suggestion, bring also a roundup for the 975, there are newer boards available (P5W64, MSI Powerup, etc) and very few reviews about them.

Hopefully the Nvidia chipset under NDA can be o/c as well....

I been reading about the P5W64-WS Pro. Those that have bought it are raving about it. Its downside is price though. Very pricey but considering you get 4 PCIe and 2 PCI slots it attractive for those that can afford it. Users have been able to run CF and SLI (using hack drivers) on it. Its getting very good overclocks straight out of the box on air I hear. Higher then the P5W DH Deluxe even.

I'm also looking foward to this. Though I'd really have a nicely overclockable mATX board using a good chipset for cheap, that's probably not going to happen. Best I can hope for are reasonably priced (around $100), reasonably overclockable stable boards that have mature enough BIOSes to avoid most RAM incompatibilities... in time for the C2D 4300. :D

Then Foxconn is $100 and from a review i read keeps up well with the GigaByte DQ6 and 3 of the top Asus board.

When is the C2D E4300 coming out?

The Foxconn is a good board. ;-)

The E-Series should be out in Q1.

The roundup is progressing well, still shooting for tomorrow for part one, do not be surprised if it is late tomorrow or on the weekend. I am retesting every board today with the latest bios releases this past week for compatibility and overclocking.

I finally got my Foxconn. Ok so far, no problems. Running XP Pro and Vista RC1.

Thanks for keeping us updated Gary. Now if we could just get some more info on the RD600 board.....

All I can say is - :D

Most over-hyped motherboard ever.

We have not started talking about the C55 (680i) yet.

Gary! You mock us with your vague statements and emoticons!

On another note, I'm readily awaiting the P965 roundup!

Two questions about the foxconn. Does it run fairly cool (one review said the gigabyte d3 ran a bit warm). Does it use good capacitors? (a review of the gigabyate said it used very good component and only real flaw was that it ran a bit warm.

My Foxconn mobo temps are in the 40's and it does use solid capacitors around the cpu where the power circuitry is.

PS: Yeah Gary, I am also impatiently waiting. I wanna see how well my board can do.

Ya...at least let us know what causing the hold-up. We'd be more understanding if we knew.
We are all still impatient though.
