I agree...daily almost...

It's getting so you can't even try to help someone anymore...I'm done with this thread.

LordGorzul:

If you need some help putting it together don't hesitate to ask..it's really easy if you take your time and know what you are doing. Good luck with whatever you build.. :)

WSP.. why are you an idiot? why do you casue problems like this... all you are is a troll so just leave,,

plus, in this guys question.. the Athlon would be a better solution.. cheaper.. and just as good or better... no compatiability problems..

athlons run hot, so, they are made to handle it.. just because your p3 chip( i assume) runs at room temps means nothing.. just that you are a freak and want it to stay that cool (no offense to other member that have their chip that cool) ;)

do everyone a favor and drop it.. and NO i am not a AMD zealot.. i have built both.. and i like both.. its whatever fits you best at the time..

another question i chose to go with the Iwill kk266-R, and I already have 3 sticks of PC133 SDRAM that i dont wanna waste.
My question is this:

Can i use PC133 SDRAM (3 sticks of 128) on the Iwill kk266-R motherboard?

Thanks

If you can get an Intel MB for Pentium(r) 4 for a serious discount(including case!),
why not:) And a free CPU will not hurt, either:cool:

I am not an "AMD" person.. i have an Intel system and i love it,,, i built my gram a duron system and i like that too!,,, why do you have to start all of these arguments.. just say your opinion and thats it.. you dont have to cry if intel isn't the best for a change....:)

Amen broher..:)

"Can i use PC133 SDRAM (3 sticks of 128) on the Iwill kk266-R motherboard?"

You sure can, the KK266-R has three SDRAM slots and you should be able to just pop them in. The KA266-R is often confused with the KK266-R. The KK266-R is a KT133A based motherboard that supports 168pin SDRAM only. The KA266-R is a Ali Magik chipset that supports SDRAM and DDR ram, but it usually performs lower than a KT133A board. I hope this answers your question...:)

Hrm ... welcome to a new installment of Zealot Wars

Sometimes I wonder why I even bother to care ... :( *sigh*

For a few posts, this thread had seemed to be actually factual & calm ... ppl need to relax, chill out. What's the point in taking it personal that XYZ is using a processor you don't have? Free choice in the end.

Just relax, people.

In the end (from a gamer's view at any rate) both current "high-riders" are pretty much "the same" in terms of "real-life" gaming. Simply for the reason that with real-life resolutions (say 1024x768 and up @ 32bpp) the bottleneck just moves to the GFX-card.

I think ppl here overrate benchmarks far too much. The "I've got a bigger one / higher score" attitude really blows. Right rant over ... I'm off back to facts & tech supporting ppl ...
