P4 423 to 478 pin converter, any good?

I have a Dell 8100 with an old P4 1.5 with the 423 pin CPU. I can get a 2.0 478 pin CPU from my brother-in-law but is it worth it to get one of these converters? For example the converter from upgradeware.
I am obviously on a budget so responding get a new computer or get a new motherboard is not really going to help 🙂 Any info on these converters would be appreciated. TIA.

here is another review taken from powerleaps website as well regarding an upgrade for a Dell 8100....hope that gives ya extra info, to make up your mind. Seems like a great product.
