P4 423 to 478 pin converter, any good?

I have a Dell 8100 with an old P4 1.5 with the 423 pin CPU. I can get a 2.0 478 pin CPU from my brother-in-law but is it worth it to get one of these converters? For example the converter from upgradeware.
I am obviously on a budget so responding get a new computer or get a new motherboard is not really going to help Any info on these converters would be appreciated. TIA.

here is another review taken from powerleaps website as well regarding an upgrade for a Dell 8100....hope that gives ya extra info, to make up your mind. Seems like a great product.
