I'm glad you tested on the 845PE. It will be interesting to see a performance comparison of your 845 and GB @ the same CPU speed, best mem settings on each. I want to how much real world (not Sandra mem bench) performance gain there is going to GB from an 845 rig.

its already knocked me down to 167fsb

Considering how high some of todays chips are overclocking, this is dissappointing.
Is the limitation from the 845PE in general or the BE7 in particular?
Didnt some 845E boards like the bd7-2 regularly reach 180 fsb?

I also think the granite bay may need to be a pass especially if the 200fsb chips are around the corner and I have seen numerous threads these GB mobos are not ocing very high on te fsb level. Yeah tey would work nicely with my 171fsb but no 200fsb or 227 like thug's p4m...

Well, Intel won't make the 2.4 200 but then you all already have one.

This sounds fun but I think I will wait for the "prescott" chippies to come out before I build another rig.....But on the other hand, my visa wants to play.................isnt tax refunds soon? here I go again!
