Also got a week 20 Malay cbo 700e from the PA warehouse...able to do 933MHz at 1.80v. So far, it is very stable. I haven't tried to go any higher. The rest of the system is a CUSL2, 256MB Mushkin rev2, and a golden orb. Overall, a pretty good chip.

The stability problems could well be your RAM -- very, very few PC100 sticks will work *reliably* at 133. I can boot up at 933 with my old PC100 ram, but Prime95 torture test starts having round-off errors after a few minutes! My RAM has Micron 8ns chips; it worked stably for weeks at a time when I was overclocking my p3-450 at 124MHz (within the 8ns spec), but it doesn't seem 100% reliable at 133.

On another note, I also think I got a dud cb0 -- I can run 124MHz at 1.70v but I have to hit 1.90v to do 933!!! (1.85 is about 99% stable, but I still get some random crashes.)

Can anyone give me any tips to get my balance over 24 dollarsat Pointclick? Clicking takes a long @ss time. That pending $21 check is laughing at me.

Biggie - after, they would see the 25 coupon on the email you send to them for reminbursment(did I spell that right?)

did you need a slotket convertor too?

you can get the MSI $11 or Asus $14

that should bump it up a bit

Or, if you need you get another CPU, but there's a better coupon, $50 off $200 (for Seattle Chamber of Commerce members) don't know if you'll be able to get away with this one as easily as the AMEX one though. But, worth a try I guess.

look around on the other bargain sites.

oktane - shoulda played it cool.. I had almost the same thing. the CSR guy started bein a d!ck and said it would cost $25 to ship from PA or TX and I was said I wasnt trying to be a pain in the ass so he said if I didnt get what I wanted (a cB0 from fullerton) he would have the company pay to get one shipped from wherever I wanted. I got a cB0 from fullerton that runs at 973 with stock HSF. the CSR ppl seem to get pissed when they think you are tryin to scam the company

ckevin - most of the pc100 I have used runs at 133 fine. my last stick (atlas precision with siemens chips 8ns) ran at 140 at cas3

I went and bought an abit slotket from natacomputers. The guy told me that the new abit rev they just received fixed most of Asus's compatibility problems with slotkets. I am not too impressed with the few fsb options i have ~`20. Thanks anyway FunkmasterT

I have the Abit BF6 and the standard MSI slocket and mine is easily running at 133 fsb. My only problem is that my old Real3d Starfighter AGP video card can't handle the speed. There is noticable crap all over the screen. What video card are you using to get over the (133 * 2/3) AGP speed problem???
Any suggestions?
Thanks!

YEP!!!
It's that damn i740 chipset.
Won't even display properly at 66 fsb, for some reason.
Only reason I got it is for the video out which is COOL.
Other than that, it's a POS.
Any recomendations on a replacement? :)

Ordered yesterday... got it today from Anaheim, CA. Woohoo!!! SL45Y week 20 Philippines. I'm still waiting though for my ASUS CUSL2. I will be replacing my trusty old P2-300 (SL2W8... anyone still remember this?) and BH6.

Eval,

The deal on the PIII 700 still exists, except the $25 coupon has expired (7/31).

www.onvia.com

I think the price is around $238 with free shipping (and pretty fast for UPS, too.)

I just ordered one from Onvia along with an ASUS V7700 Pure Geforce2 from McGlen. Whew, what an expensive day this is. Thank goodness for my $400 pointclick credit -- net cost will be about 130 for both including shipping, but I have to wait 45 days for the checks from Point Click. I guess can sell my 300a for a few bucks to make it even better. :) Yeee Haaaa !!!! I can hardly wait.

OK, let me rephrase...

The coupon was supposed to expire on 7/31.

Whether or not they deactivaed it is another story.

YMMV.

hmm,

I thought that pointclick checks were processsed on the last day of each month. If that's the case, then how come mine has not yet been processed. All of my purchases were approved, but no check yet.
