WTF, so wait, did that right wheel just collapse? Unless my eyes are betraying me it didn't look like it was coming down any faster than it should have.
I could barely see anything (eyes are shit) but I wondered if maybe it touched down cock-eyed (as in rotated to one side) due to wind. That could cause it to roll if it was moving forward laterally instead of the nose going straight forward, couldn't it?
IDK if I described that properly.
The comments on that imgur post have some information:The landing gear collapse. That much is obvious. Why is the question.

That particular aircraft design was not the greatest in windy conditions.
Preliminary evidence shows that the descent was steeper than usual.
Watching the video it seems clear that the jet descended what looks to be faster than normal into touchdown, and also leaned slightly to the right at contact. This absolutely obliterated the right landing gear and the whole thing cascaded into the death roll. Amazing everyone survived and only 18 injured.
What will rich people do with the extra houses they bought with cash then.
They will have to mow their own grass, as all the employees of landscaping companies have either been deported, or are afraid to show up for work because of ICE raids. What will rich people do with the extra houses they bought with cash then.
