Yup. The fact they have to fund employees health care in advance, however, is a problem. GOP has been blocking attempts to relieve some of that burden .It was also my understanding that the USPS is required to be self sufficient. Aka, they're not given tax dollars.

They also can't close costly, inefficient rural post offices or end deliveries to people who choose to live in the ass back middle of nowhere w/o Congressional approval.That and they don't truly have control over their rates is also a problem.
