one more parade is pretty nice. and covered a lot. guessing it was phil ochs originally.
i love me some morrissey, so almost every one of his songs shows something poltical.
last album, first track was "american is not the world" which was pretty funny.
violent femmes "nothin" is pretty great too.

Tool - Aenima

Love that song, and the lyrics. Also like APC - Judith that Todd33 posted, good song. My favorite songs off that cd are Orestes and 3 Libras, but they aren't relavent to P&N :)

I was going to include Aenima, one of my all time favorite songs.

Have a Nice Day - Mark Graham

Come all you good Americans, the loyal, brave and true
Let?s wrap ourselves completely in the old red, white and blue
For Jesus and free enterprise we must prepare the way,
And anyone who does not heed must be prepared to pay.

Chorus:
Have a nice day, have a nice day.
Don?t heed those words of wickedness that might lead you astray
See, hear and speak no evil, just work real hard and pray
God loves you and he hopes you have a nice day.

We can?t abide with welfare or believe in poverty
Because this nation is the land of opportunity.
If you?re lazy, weak or stupid then you might not make the grade.
But why should we support you with the money we have made?

We believe in conservation and will do all that we can
To manage our resources for the benefit of man.
And we believe that Judgment Day is coming with all haste
And anything that we don?t use will then have gone to waste.

We believe in the creation, evolution is a sham,
And for you awful humanists we do not give a damn,
?Cause we believe in science when the word of God agrees,
And we believe in science that destroys our enemies.

Have a nice day....

EDIT:

Life is Hard, but Life is Hardest When You?re Dumb

Life is hard, but life is hardest when you?re dumb
No joie de vivre, just endless hours of tedium
With a negative IQ you?ll be lonesome sad and blue
Life is hard, but life is hardest when you?re dumb

Life is hard, but life is hardest when you?re dumb
You wait for years, but inspiration never comes
Thoughts you don?t have remain unheard because you cannot find the words
Life is hard, but life is hardest when you?re dumb

Life is hard, but life is hardest when you?re dumb
Between your ears a dark and silent vacuum
If there?s a void behind your face
why not rent out the vacant space
Life is hard, but life is hardest when you?re dumb

Life is hard, but life is hardest when you?re dumb
Why not just lay back and smoke a bowl of opium
If being stupid is your fate just relax ?cause it?s too late
Life is hard, but life is hardest when you?re dumb

Ironic that me and all the hardcore leftists like the same music.

Oh noes, I think I just shattered the stereotype that Republicans only listen to country :(

I'd have to say the one that I think of most when I come here is Minority by Green Day. I know the song wasn't written from my personal viewpoint, but posting here as a Moderate Republican makes me the Minority.

Russians - Sting

Not a current hot issue right now, but definately powerful and would have made quite the statement in the 80's.
