Well I'm tired of NOS's and Frustrated2's trolling, flaming, and useless slander. Arrogance is destructive to a intellitual debate. There are a few other rigs I built in the past, as well as several Intel rigs I've worked with. You seem to be assuming that my rigs cause anger? You seem to be blind.

There's few things you should know about Intel trolls. Having dealt with these people for quite awhile now I can offer some insight. See logical reasoning with them will not work, it is only for the sake of a 3rd party who might follow the discussion.
When intel trolls are faced with a strong fact based argumentation they will revert to name calling. If I had a dollar for each time I've been called a zealot by NOS I'd be rather wealthy by now.

If you truly believe that you need a P4 1500MHz to play Q3A in 1024x768 w/ winamp running I think I'm beginning to understadn why you would have let yourself get fooled into buying one of these things. My Athlon classic can do this, even a lowly Celeron400 can do that... it's hardly a huge deal.

And BTW if I could choose between a Tbird 1200 (or even 1000 for that matter) or a P4 for the same price I'd definately go with the Tbird... I like to have a good strong real x87 FPU .. but hey that's just me

Also as far as resale I garrentee you I could put my setup in the For Sale and trade forum right now and sell it for more than I have invested lets see you do that with any AMD product Hell they go for about 10% of there original purchase price 6 months down the road!!!!!

Oh and I wasn't listening to WinAmp I was running my FM Tuner while Playing. Tell ya the truth I don't know if it is much of a hit on any system all I know is my sons classic Athlon system he had would dead lock when he tried to run any game and winamp at the same time.


I still say the best way to end this is to have all you T-Bird Zealots jump in a server with me and we will fight it out in Quake 3 and I garrentee you that you will be Ashamed when I'm done with ya SO BRING IT ON !!!!!!

... hmm.. lemme see, is it not true that you've admitted to bashing AMD because you find it amusing to attempt to piss of AMD users? This is why I call you a troll since you pretty much fit the defination perfectly Whether I'ma zealot or not... well I can back up any statement I make with solid proff or argumentation... I do not blindly believe in something, and if I felt Intel had a better product I'd be the first to say so. *LOL* you obviously didn't get my point.. what I meant was that if someone was willing to sell you P4 stuff so cheaply, maybe there was a reason for it being so cheap
Furthermore if you sell AMD stuff for 10% of the original purchase value.. well I'm just happy for whoever buys it (assuming you haven't physically damaged it or something along those lines) cos I can sell used AMD stuff and get just as much for it percentwise as I do Intel.

Was he running Win2000 by any chance?... I had that problem with win2000 on mine before I installed SP1

I rather than leave my judjements to others on review sights try the products myself and have built, reloaded and repaired about any type of machine you can name in rescent times and base my opinions on Actual experience not by reviewer that are getting paid by the Advertisers that they are reviewing.

I'll give you a Example I not long ago read a review on this sight about PC133 ram the only chips that were reviewed were the ones were advertised on the pages of this sight and one was named the best you could buy. Now I believe that most people would agree that one of the best Sdram manufacturers in Micron and sold by Crucial. So why wasn't it included. Well its not to hard to figure is it ??

So you claim that hardware reviewers generally are biased in their reviews out of concern for their advertisers? That is a very serious accusation, can you back this up or is it just a matter of you trying to question their credability because they do not agree with you?
Furthermore the statement is redicueless.. unless the site is directly sponsored (did someone sya Sharky? ) by a company (did someone say Intel? ) Even though I may not always agree with reviewers, I have no reason nor right to draw anybodys credability in question. Sorry NOS but that is a pretty low shot and I think you realize this.

Zephyr I believe I did use a example for you and also theres the point that they never load and use the PC in a real way. They throw windows on it and some benchmark stuff and they are bare systems no other devices but the minimun and base a decision on it. I used to rely on there reviews and got stung many times. Unlike you I learn from my mistakes.

We have hashed over and over my experiences with the Classic Athlon many times you beginning to bore me to death.
