Owned myself gokart racing

I was taking a corner at full speed where another gokart wiped out. I hit them so hard my helmet which was strapped on and really snug flew off my head. In the process I managed to get racked really hard on the steering column.

Now my right scrotum area is about 3x as big, will this go away or should I see a doctor?

I'd say just throw some ice on it but torsion can kill testicles in a matter of hours. You might want to have it checked out.

I would recommend getting some frozen dihydrogen monoxide (sold at most convenience stores), then wrapping it in a towel and applying it to the swollen area.

Can you just call your Doc's office and ask them what to do? Actually, some ERs will give you advice over the phone too.

I'd go to the ER immediately. If you ruptured a testicle and don't get it treated very soon, that boy is gone. The swelling is telling you something is very wrong.

What you gonna do uni-ball? I'm not kidding, you can lose that nut.

get it checked out. on another forum I read, someone had swelling and it was from it being twisted... he had the option of waiting it out (doctors estimated 6mo) or getting it removed (he had it removed). someone also posted in the thread that it happened to them, but the doctor had him wait it out and it went away after a few days.

Wow, I had a similar situation happen to me when I was about 10. I was riding the go-kart track just fine, and it came time for us to line up at the end. I drove my kart into the pit area like I was supposed to and braked behind the guy in front of me. Some driver (yes, a woman) comes screaming up the pit area and doesn't bother to apply the brakes. She slammed right into me and the back of my kart flew in the air, as my inner thighs jammed right into the steering wheel. This wasn't a normal wheel either, it didn't have rubber on the top section or the bottom, so these little wings stuck out on both sides. My thighs hit the bottom of these "wings" and I was severely bruised for a few weeks. After it happened I had about 4" diameter bruises on both of my inner thighs and could barely walk. Ugh, bad memories.
