OWNED....don't act like a cry bitch in court....

hahah yeah i seen that on TV when it aired. i laughed at it. the poor guy didnt know what to say or do

The guy just got neutered right in front of us. I love the comments of people who think they know anything about judges.

That video is going to follow him for the rest of his life.

"Hey, aren't you the guy..."

I'll just have to assume that there was actual evidence that was enough to rule against the guy and not just her little tantrum. The guy deserved it, but the video makes it look like she ruled that way because he disrespected her. I would say something about having such an emotionally unstable person as a judge, but its for entertainment.

She's not even a real judge....
Actually she was a judge in the Florida State circuit courts.
It's funny because saying "actually" usually means you disagree with someone, but you just said the same thing with different words.

before that it was clear the guy had no defence. i can't remember the exact details. but it was something like he was getting sued for a deposit. he had a couple college kids sign a lease then changed it on the day they moved in or something like that.

Not really ownage. I kinda doubt this is real. For one thing, the judge went off on a real tangent, that in itself is highly disrespectful to the court members and unprofessional to the highest degree. When you're in office as a judicial member, I don't think you have any more right to snap back at someone with that kind of emotional or professional angst response.

It's just TV drama and if it is real, both parties embarrassed the shit out of themselves and both need to remove themselves from any sort of civil office.

The way I understand it, these court TV shows have a set budget for each case that is distributed by the judge via his/her ruling. Thus, if the judge rules in favor of the plaintiff for $500, the plaintiff receives $500 of the case's "purse," with the remainder being divided evenly among the plaintiff and defendant (thereby providing incentive for people to come on the show). The two parties also agree not to try the case in an actual court of law.

Or something like that.

As far as I know, though, the judges on the shows are, or at least were, all judges at some point in their careers.

As I said in my post, I don't think that the show itself is a true legal environment. However, in my experiences in courtrooms, I've heard judges say things similar to what was in the clip...albeit in a slightly less-animated manner.
