Terry,
There's several different types of sbc 350 crate motors. They go from stock replacement to aluminum headed versions.
I've got a strong suspicion that this guy had a basic 350 replacement installed. But who really knows. All he says about the motor in his ad is this:
"Including a new out of the crate 350 V-8 and all accessories" If he did install the cheapest 350 crate, then I do feel that a 5.0 would dust his kitt car.
If he installed the motor in your link, then, by all means, it would beat a bone stock 5.0.
Incidently, the 87-93 5.0's were the fastest out of the 5.0 mustang family.
There rated at 225 hp. But hp isn't everything. The weight of the vehicle plays a huge part when it comes to acceleration.
The 87-93 mustangs are known to be on the light side.
From what I remember, for every 100 pounds you lose in weight, you gain about 1/10 in the 1/4 mile, which equates to about 10 horsepower. If i'm off on this, just give a shout here.
Anyway, I wonder if anyone is really going to buy this thing.
