Also, if I recall correctly, the XP needed to level resets to lvl 1 requirements at level 100. So 100-122ish go really quickly.

Yep. Level 101 is really just level 1 with a different portrait. Eventually, you stop gaining stars and actually go to a different color (silver). Then, you'll start gaining stars again as you go up another 100.

Does the xp requirement change? Cause I feel like it takes foreverrrr to gain a level.

But... if you're playing with five other people, then where's the problem coming from here? Maybe you need to play with some people that intersperse fun games in between the "srs bsns" games.

Honestly... I just haven't been playing much. It's a little different than playing Hearthstone where I can just sort of chill out (watch TV, eat dinner, etc.) and play. I think I'm only level 40 or 50... something like that. Although, I was level 150-160 in closed beta, so that has to count for something. :p
We are fun? We don't even call out we just chill and talk random stuff in game. We don't even take the game seriously because its only public. We don't even type we use TS hehehe. Most of us are girls and most of them suck at the game but somehow we win most of our games :D
We win and lose. Also did you know that blizz matchmaking is scripted? 50/50 win ratio system. I can't find the source but it's true. Most people have 50% win ratio or less than 55%

That's pretty much given in any MMR type system. If you win your MMR goes up. You face tougher opponents until you lose. Then it drops and you easier opponents. Your MMR tends to seesaw around your true rating and win rate is always always approximately 50%. Exceptions are if you just started and are on your way up or down to your true rank, or if you are consistently improving or getting worse (maybe trying new heroes.)

I think I am done with this game. Its not fun.

my team loses 95% of the games I join. No one plays together on my teams while it seems the enemy team always does.

Everything seems to be close range combat because you either have to be inside a small square to win, or escort something. Plus the characters move so slow so you can't escape if you get in trouble. Even the ones that have some escape ability seem impossible to escape from enemies (or its recharging when you need it).

Hell, I frequently get in games where the enemy camps the spawn and you can only get 10 feet out the spawn before you die (if that - I got 1 shot as the doors opened the other night. Didn't even get to step outside the spawn!).

Playing bots is boring because they always do the same thing. unless I play certain characters, I always lose against the bots too (on medium difficulty).

yeah yeah, i suck, etc.

You need to switch up the people you play if you guys keep getting rocked. The biggest thing about this game is being able to switch on the fly.

Yeah, adjusting to the enemy team co position when it's needed the most is the biggest difference between new and experienced players I think.

I switch, but when your team isnt working together it doesnt make a difference.

You have to be smart with escape. I've escaped mobs with Lucio. He's the second fastest character in the game, hit his speed boost and it's rare you'll get hit.

Junkrat you can use his concussion mine for quick escapes too. That's saved me a few times.

The problem is that if you constantly lose, your MMR is flippin' low as hell, which means you constantly get put with the other people that lose all the time. You really need to play with some people that have a higher MMR, but keep in mind... the people you play against will be closer to an average of the team's MMR, which means they'll probably be a bit higher than yours. If that's the case, you'll find that the teams will be potentially a lot more skilled than you're used to.

Also, trust me... it doesn't matter how many times you win or lose, people don't play together. Hell, the only time someone talked to me tonight was through team text chat exclaiming that I saved their life. (I pulled a 180 degree hook on a Reinhardt that had pinned a Pharah.) There was only ever one person in voice chat and they never spoke up when I asked who was there.

Also, consider doing the weekly brawl if you just want to mess around a bit. It's not really meant to be taken seriously. Although, speaking of being taken seriously, what annoys me is that people have this stupid notion that just because Quick Play isn't Ranked Play that means you don't have to take it seriously. Um... yeah, I don't take it as seriously as ranked, but I still want to win, dammit! D:

I usually go what ever I want at the start of the match, then if things aren't going well I will switch up to what I think is needed to win.

Unfortunately, you do... or rather, you have... and you're basically playing a different game than us because of it.

As Aikouka said, endless losses against iffy teams put you into low MMR, where your teammates are not only blah individually but have no idea how to play as a unit. (At higher MMR defenders don't camp attacker spawn because they know they'll be punished for it - hell, any competent decent-MMR team is expected to take A anyway, but a quick pick or two near attacker spawn and it's basically guaranteed/super-quick.)

I'd mess around on brawls and the like until you can consistently at least lead your team to victory in an all-bots-but-you custom match.

If you're losing constantly, then you're getting placed into matches where both your team but also the other team are not going to put up much resistance. You should be able to carry your team in that situation enough to get your MMR back to where you expect it to be. Unless that really is where you're supposed to be, in which case you'll want to learn the game if improving is your goal.

The most important thing to do is never to trickle in. When you see the kill feed, or the white skulls, pop up and three of your teamates have just died while you're running back from respawn... just wait for your team to regroup and attack together. 1v6 or 2v6 in this game is really punishing because you're building up the enemies ultimate charge by fighting an already lost battle.

Man, Zarya is probably one of the most fun characters to play with a decent team. You get to defend your teammates with the projected shield, and take tons of damage on while melting the enemies. I had a game tonight like that where I usually was able to keep a Lucio alive who was being way too aggressive. Ended up with 21 eliminations and 1 death with a 20 kill streak.
