Seasons for ranked. After that your rank will either decay or reset. If you aren't going to do competitive it won't matter.

People didn't like the original ranked setup so they scrapped it and went back to the drawing board.

I really hope they have some sort of skill based match making. Playing CS:GO in casual mode was kinda painful between the truely clueless and the super ranked people fucking around. Made matches really uneven.

Quick play has hidden MMR. Not sure whether Brawl does. Also not sure whether the MMR has fully reset between beta and today. I guess from one perspective it should, because that was then and people were screwing around some, but from another having *some* leftover old MMR effect would prevent days of stupid stomp mismatches.

Don't forget the flagrant cheaters using spinbots and name changers so you can't even kick them. I've seen more than 1 of these in the same game before on several occasions.
