meh, i'd rather have my free time. It would have to be at least 50-70 bucks an hour to make me consider overtime. You can always get more money, but you can never get your time back.

Have fun with that tax bill too.

OT pay gets taxed at a higher rate and if you work alot of OT you might bump yourself up into a higher tax bracket.

Sort of... It's taxed at your marginal tax rate. Yes, that will be higher than the average tax rate of all of your non-OT income. But a portion of your non-OT income is also taxed at your marginal tax rate. You still want that money though, right?

Bumping yourself into a higher tax bracket is also not a bad thing. It only affects your marginal tax rate.

There are very few cases where you would benefit from having less income.

Obviously you've never been to Canada :)

London
Province/State: Ontario
Country: Canada
Nope, never been. I hear it's a beautiful country. What aboot them igloos, eh?

Move to BC then, better bud and less taxes ;)...less inflation too.

How much is BC big bud over there right now? There was a big bust recently and prices must have jumped a little bit to account for the demand.

I'm ashamed to say I don't really know :(...since I moved up from the states last May I've kind of been behaving myself, but from what I've been told it's pretty cheap lately.

No joke.

I just got off a long string of extended work week (straight time for over 40 hours) that lasted way too long. It will burn you out, so be careful.
