Normally we get as much O/T as we can handle, up to a total of 60 hours a week or so. Now the client is offering an additional $4/hr for every hour of O/T, with no limit on what we can work. Hello big paycheck :)

I'm assuming 1.5x AND $4/hr on top?

You are correct sir. Definitely worth it, I'll do it for a week or two, then relax for a while.

Have fun with that tax bill too.

OT pay gets taxed at a higher rate and if you work alot of OT you might bump yourself up into a higher tax bracket.

It really negates the whole purpose once you hit that ceiling.

Obviously you've never been to Canada :)...plus I work enough OT each week to put me far enough into the next tax bracket not to worry about it. Plus, we got a new kid coming out this year, so extra tax breaks! Woohoo!

I'd like to go but I'm afraid of the tank. Silly perhaps, but there you have it.

All the Canada jokes are funny, but BC is actually a very nice place to live. I lived in Washington state and we visited interior BC often for skiing and other activities. It's a very nice place to live.

Actually what is wicked is having a good enough job that you don't need to work overtime. ;)

How much is BC big bud over there right now? There was a big bust recently and prices must have jumped a little bit to account for the demand.

OT is sucking right now, they are throwing a mandatory 5 hours at us, but I'm taking a night class that has me in school 6.5 hours a week, with at least that or more in homework.

Clearly you have no clue how income tax works. There is no ceilings invloved.
