Most people knew he was on something that wasn't legal, his core fans still don't believe this story. Sherdog's full of people saying

1. Test was incorrect, he'll get retested and have vindication
2. He's naturally a specimen, so his 14:1 test level when 1:1's normal and 6:1 will get a fighter banned means nothing. Even at 14:1 he's 100% natural.

I bet the constant F bomb dropping Dana set a personal F bomb record after this info came out lol. Now we're going to see some shit like JDS vs Mir. I can't even think of a #1 contender in the UFC. Mir's meh but he's doing better than anyone else in the HW division right now.

This news sucks for Lesnar, he battled back from a life threatening disorder without any PED's only to have his last fight be against a roided fool.

The reason they test for T/E ratio is that its a better predictor of PED use than T level, it doesn't directly tell you anything about the T level. 14:1 is conclusively not natural.

The UFC will reap what they sow. They are shortsighted in general and don't care about guys who are obviously dirty. Now it's going to cost them money. If they took a longer term view they'd realize that it's in their interest to deal the PED issue proactively.

totally juicing

Just an FYI rumor now is that the fight between JDS and Overeem may still go on and there are some "loop holes" and "technicalities" that Overeem might be able to use.

I was one of the people that felt his gains were plausible. He never pissed dirty.

His silence over the matter thus far is damning.

HIGHLY doubtful.

The loopholes are these, he wasn't(isn't) licensed and techincally the athletic comission can't do anything like suspend him, as there's nothing to suspend. However when he applies for a license he'll have to explain himself.

This would be an "out", BUT when he fought Brock he was granted a conditional license (which has since expired) and one of the stipulations to that was to submit himself to 2 random tests, this was one of the random tests.

He's fucked.

Why would he be "fucked"? He'll just get a temporary suspension like the rest of them who fail drug tests. It's not the first time a UFC athlete has been tested positive for PED's. They all return after suspension.

Because Dana White the PR face for the UFC, is beyond pissed at him for ruining this main event, a fight damn never every fight fan wants to see on an all heavy weight card.

Or maybe not. The randoms may have only been valid during the span of his conditional license. Which case since it has expired, they don't mean shit. Also, it looks like he is going to use the TRT excuse. Doctor just needs to cough up some bull shit paper work and he can get it across. PS ratios were off, that doesn't mean he necessarily has high levels of testosterone in his body.

PSPS it also looks like he might have the UFC support behind him because they went forward with applying for his license.

Sure, I'm not denying he's pissed, but he's far from "fucked". He'll just serve his suspension and be back in another card at a future date. He's a huge draw, and I highly doubt Dana White would do anything drastic, as he's money in the bank. At a future date of course.

If you don't know about the conditions of WHY he was granted a CONDITIONAL license, please don't spout off about it.

The only reason he was granted the license was among other things to submit himself to TWO random drug tests over a course, of I believe a year. The year isn't up, he failed. He doesn't have an out. Even if he does claim TRT excuse they won't give him a license. That excuse used as an after a fact doesn't work. Didn't work for Chael or Nate.

Yes, I understand the circumstances he was granted the conditional license. You don't know the contract either and it may have been two random drug tests until the license expired. You have no idea and even if he did get popped on this random IT DOESN'T DO ANYTHING. They can't punish him for it, outside of denying his license. If he pleads his case that he was using TRT and had just recently got an injection before the random. They will probably retest him and if he passes allow it to slide. This is a completely different situation than Nate or Chael and drawing conclusions based on the experience of those two is stupid. Hell if we're going to do that, explain Chael still being in the UFC and Nate getting his walking papers? eh?

He was to get tested twice in a span of a year, if I have time tonight I'll up the article which states exactly what he had to do.

Chael still being in the UFC... because the UFC actually recieved PPV buys from his fight, which came back after the fight actually happened. Chael is also a draw.

Nate fucked up a the main event of a fight the day of or day before. Nate is not a draw.

Life isn't fair.

So you agree with me, this situation can be treated completely differently than Chael and Nate's already differing situations and it might play out that he gets to fight. You don't think this is going to be a huge PPV draw? Bet you anything JDS vs Overeem would pull more buys than any card with A Silva headlining. Money talks and they'll make it work if it's possible.

I didn't say it could be treated differently, you asked a question and I supplied the answer.

Here is the story about his conditional license - http://www.bloodyelbow.com/2011/12/...s-conditional-license-to-face-brock-lesnar-at

From there:
In the end, the commission felt that his descriptions of the situations he dealt with were satisfactory for a license with some exceptions:

  1. The test done by his doctor on the 7th of December is not sufficient. He will need to retest within 72 hours somewhere in the UK or elsewhere at a location of NSAC's choosing.
  2. Overeem must drop another urine sample when he lands in the United States.
  3. Overeem will be tested randomly twice over six months following the UFC 141 card.
UFC 141 was in December, i.e. 6 months haven't passed. The commission won't grant him a license, if they did it would make a mockery of the testing and the sport (unless, and this is a HUGE _IF_, there are some details that have somehow managed to escape everybody on the planet except Overeem and a doctor).

The athletic commission doesn't give a shit about a draw, and UFC's money can't buy a fighter a license when the AC has suspended them. This fight while obviously big, wasn't going to be that uber fan wise. The average American hasn't seen Reem fight more than once or twice. And a lot of those who have seen him fight a couple times saw his fight against Werdum, which was a damn travesty and joke. The problem with this fight is there's no American to root for lol, UFC events will have the crowd chanting "USA USA!" when a dude from here's fighting even a damn Canadian. The only interest in this fight to me was the belt being on the line.

i disagree. maybe the causal MMA has no clue who overeem is. but i bet the majority do.

Hell this whole card had me excited. now its fucked up.

I don't think there is a chance in hell He fights JDS on 146 PPV. he will fight in the UFC just going to take longer...

I have a feeling we will still see an all HW card. They still have time to do some swapping or bringing fighters in. Keeping my fingers crossed for a good night of fights. Just ironic as in boxing, the HW divisions always end up being the worst.
