That's probably a safe bet. :D

I really do have an overclocking curse though. I don't know what it is.

i do - it's those damn intel MB's with OC'ing locked out :p

try a gigabyte or asus ... we'll get your little C2D humming along at least 10-50% faster

we can break any "oc'ing curse" here

... for a price, of course

With my 5600x2 I overclocked it to 3.0ghz right off the bat (pretty good overclock for a 5600) with a little bump in voltage (doesn't do much on my mobo) and turning off cool and quiet and got it to post without touching the ht multi and did stability testing and fiddled with the ram and ht multi to get it stable at 3.15 with 12+ hours of orthos which I consider stable.
