I've heard caps can cause high frequency noise; coils can too, but there shouldn't be any high frequency coils in a computer; maybe in the power supply. I suppose high frequency noises could cause headaches.
Possibly the coils mean an inductor, those tiny circular ferrite rings with copper coils wound around them to supress stray EMI.
