ran prime95 for 11+ hours.
stable at 220FSB / 8.0 volts
my room was freakin hot when i got home!!
rebooted and checked the cpu temp. it was at 65 degrees.
i suppose i could just keep it at those settings, cos it's not like you ever really run anything at full load for that long. well... maybe xvid encoding, but still... i took the fsb down to 215 / 7.5 volts and now i'm at more normal temperatures at full loads.
once i get a new case with good cooling, i'll probably put it back at 220fsb. that is... unless the 9800pro i'm planning to get starts warming up the whole box.
btw, ditka. don't mess with the timings unless you're a total pro at it. just set the memory settings to aggressive. it'll then auto pick the best settings for you. when you change the fsb, the memory timings have to change with it. it's best not to do those manually.
