So what? How is this a big deal?
It was a party with a bunch of white kids making fun of black people.

Don't you remember, you can only make fun of white people. Making fun of black people is against the law.

You can make fun of asians too because they won't fight back.

We figure we'll just try to outbreed the other races.

In the end, it will come down to a battle between the Asians and the Hispanics. THERE CAN BE ONLY ONE!
Are you kidding........ Chinese & Indians ....... with 1/3 of the population........... they pwn us :Q 😕 😉

Cheers,
Aquaman

They're not drinking malt liquor, they're drinking 32-40 oz bottles of beer. They have no interest in authenticity!

It's not like they were immitating a lynch mob like the other retarded college students down in Texas.

It was at UT, the frat got disbanded

Why? That is completely stupid. Just goes to show how far overboard the stupid PC crowd have gone. If Black people are offended then are they offended by Black people dressing the same? I think not. I didn't see anything in those pics that could be construed as anything other than a party with theme costumes. If Blacks don't like it maybe they had better clean house and project a different image as a community. I see idiots dressed like this all the time and my only thought is they are morons, regardless of race or color. If anything MLK would be appalled at the state of the Black culture/community as a whole today.

What on earth does that have to do with anything in this thread? 😕

Oh, and show me where black people are dressing up as Aunt Jemima or walk around carrying fried chicken all the time? While it may have been innocent it was definitely in poor taste and if you're stupid enough to post pics on the internet you deserve to face the backlash.

BTW-That Aunt Jemima is hot!!!

In the "end" everyone will be Heinz 57s and they will LOL at the old notions of "race".

I fail to see how making light of the negative aspects of a culture is such a bad thing.

Screw everyone else's "taste." They enjoyed their party and that's all that matters.

All thin-skin gets you in the long run is more scorn.

It's not just black culture. Poor urban white people dress the same way. Blacks just have the disadvantage of being predominantly poor and living in urban areas.

How are you gonna do that when all your "hot women" that other asians don't find attractive end up with the white man or the black man? 😉

fixed :Q

Meh, mixes are fine by me. Still a portion of Asians in there. It's like Russell Peters said, sooner or later everyone's going to have a bit of Asian or Indian in them. Time is the only factor. 😉. Of course, all joking aside, yes Asians rarely speak up and the NAACP probably doesn't even consider them colored. So much for National Associaton for the Advancement of Colored People.

How are those pictures "despicable"? Most of the kids look like tards (for posing like they do), but they're not racist in nature. I'd laugh my head off if they parodied Indian or Middle Eastern culture.

It it just like calling a person fat: If they are fat they might get upset...if they are not fat they will shrug in confusion or laugh.

This MLK thing has some people outraged because it lampoon's reality... I lived in the ghetto for a while: some black people wear silly "iwannabeagangsta" clothing, eat fried chicken, and drink malt liquor on a regular basis. Actually, someone at that party should've had a huge joint as a prop. The only thing is, in the ghetto there are a lot of white and latino guys doing the same thing.

So maybe the MLK party was just lampooning the ghetto.

Is being racist illegal now?

It may not be illegal but I'm sure it breaks some school policies. It's not like anyone was arrested. Just the protest to the injustices of the world by the young. Give them a few years and they'll become cynical and bitter and pretty much forget about the troubles of the world.

Same here. I can see one big advantage to the time when we all have a mix of many different races in us and that will be the end of all this ridiculous race crap we carry on about.

It's not cynical and bitter. It's realistic and tired of all the idiots getting their panties in a knot over the smallest thing.

I say everyone needs to breed faster so I can live to see the day where everyone's practically a mix.

Feigned outrage FTL. They are just having fun with the images that African Americans themselves put out into the pop culture.
Do greeks get offended when frats have Toga parties?

I'd agree except that this was allegedly a "Martin Luther King" party. To me that smacks of more than poor taste......there seems to be almost some animosity or disregard behind celebrating a civil rights marytr by exaggerating negative sterotypes of one race.

I don't want us to be like Europe and jail people for their opinions, but I do think these guys deserve a little more social scorn than a bunch of idiot frat boys with tasteless humor.

It's against school policies to have a party in your house? That place is not a dorm. It's clearly a house.

You know hoestly as a black male I could care less about these fscks. However, I will still say that racism is still a huge problem in this country. I also will say that the parents of these stupid fscks should be ashamed. I for one will not feed my childern this type of BS. Be it about blacks, hispanics, asian etc. Racism has no place in the USA. We are all in this thing called freedom together.

Bah. Who did they hurt? No one.

They celebrated a day with a little fun. You don;t make fun of positive stereotypes. Just negative ones.

But it's a frat house thus governed by school policies. Same things applied at UCLA even though the houses aren't owned by the school. It's probably just against school policies to have a group organization that's governed by school policies to sponsor a party like this. Not saying if it's right or wrong, just commenting on the rules that the school may have.

Umm a little fun. Dude while you are at it please at least try to tuck your KKK sigs out of your posts. A little fun my ass. I would never dream of doing such a thing to mock the holocaust. Or any other say with such significance.
