It looks like Outpost got the rebate up front and is selling them cheaper than anyone.

In my opinion that beats the best buy deal(200 + $12 tax minus $50 rebate) Yea its a little cheaper but then again you would only save about about $7 after you get your rebate back. Not worth it having to drive to store then having to tie up your money in a rebate all for $7!

I have actually done both deals and either way this is the best bang for your buck in video cards right now.

Yea, I forget what VIVI(I assume video in/in but that doesn't make sense) but I know that VIVO is video in/out.

Edit: I'm sorry, I didn't read closely that you want to input your dvd to computer. It looks like quality wise you would need the 64mb with dedicated capture for best results, and I'm sure your aware that you would get the most flexibilty and quality capture with an internal dvd (converting to mpeg4(or 1,2) ,region free, macrovision disabling, etc)

Time to upgrade my GeForce 256 SDR. At this price I can't pass it up. I noticed the 2D is not very good on the Geforce 256 SDR on a 21" monitor. It's fuzzier than the Matrox G400 for example. I notice a significant difference. The Radeon has great 2D and 3D clarity and better image quality than the Geforce cards. At $169 this is a fantastic price and clearly beats the Geforce 2 overall if you take image quality and price and other features like DVD playback into consideration. If you just want a card for games and you must have a few more fps get the Geforce, but if you want a full-featured card that performs great for gaming this is the one to get. Also, some people are able to o/c the 32MB DDR Radeon cards to an even higher clock speed than the 64MB DDR Radeon. So you might even get more value for your buck. On top of that the GeForce 2 Ultra is going to be way too expensive.

According to anand's review of the 64mb DDR radeon card, that has both video in and video out. So I am wondering if this one does too.

The 32MB DDR version does not have TV IN or TV OUT. You must go for either the 32MB AIW Radeon or the 64MB Radeon to get these features.

Card just installed the 2D is good, I didnt think it would make a difference on my KDS Trinitron monitor. But the card is actually a bit better in 2d than my old voodooo 3.
