It looks like Outpost got the rebate up front and is selling them cheaper than anyone.

In my opinion that beats the best buy deal(200 + $12 tax minus $50 rebate) Yea its a little cheaper but then again you would only save about about $7 after you get your rebate back. Not worth it having to drive to store then having to tie up your money in a rebate all for $7!

I have actually done both deals and either way this is the best bang for your buck in video cards right now.

Thanks for the heads up!

Also note that you get 5% back through ebates, so they are about the same.
(and if you have wingspan visa, you get another 5% back for purchases at outpost!)

Pay for it with Flooz and get the bonus $25 to buy yourself some CDRs or a DVD while you're at it. :)

Damn, no PCI version? My freakin mobo has an NLX AGP slot (not ATX like normal), so i'm better off with a PCI version...and I think I wanna get rid of my aiw128 soon. Anyone recommend any good pci cards? I know there's always voodoo, but still...

no, your best bet there would be the All in Wonder Radeon at buy.com for 263 minus $30 new customer. It's in stock currently.

The other Radeon is the 64mb with video capture for about $319 minus $30 coupon. Backordered

the description says "VIVI"...I assume they mean "VIVO": video in - video out

I wanna hook up my external DVD player to this card via SVHS or
regular compsite cables...possible?

Yea, I forget what VIVI(I assume video in/in but that doesn't make sense) but I know that VIVO is video in/out.

The All in Wonder Radeon has the video out with dvd hardware decoder:

True Home Theater Experience with DVD and Digital Audio Output

Hardware DVD video playback
Watch flicker-free DVD movies on your PC or attached TV set
Save the expense of buying a separate MPEG-2/DVD decoder card
Digital Audio Output (S/PDIF)
Connect to your Dolby® Digital stereo system for a full 5.1 channel home theater experience

Edit: I'm sorry, I didn't read closely that you want to input your dvd to computer. It looks like quality wise you would need the 64mb with dedicated capture for best results, and I'm sure your aware that you would get the most flexibilty and quality capture with an internal dvd (converting to mpeg4(or 1,2) ,region free, macrovision disabling, etc)

Time to upgrade my GeForce 256 SDR. At this price I can't pass it up. I noticed the 2D is not very good on the Geforce 256 SDR on a 21" monitor. It's fuzzier than the Matrox G400 for example. I notice a significant difference. The Radeon has great 2D and 3D clarity and better image quality than the Geforce cards. At $169 this is a fantastic price and clearly beats the Geforce 2 overall if you take image quality and price and other features like DVD playback into consideration. If you just want a card for games and you must have a few more fps get the Geforce, but if you want a full-featured card that performs great for gaming this is the one to get. Also, some people are able to o/c the 32MB DDR Radeon cards to an even higher clock speed than the 64MB DDR Radeon. So you might even get more value for your buck. On top of that the GeForce 2 Ultra is going to be way too expensive.

I think I read somewhere that the PCI version of the All-In-Wonder Radeon will be released later this year, not sure though, check ATI.com, maybe some info there?

could someone who bought this card confirm on the video in and video out? Does it have them? or just video out Or none at all? I'd love to get in on the deal if it has both. Thanx

According to anand's review of the 64mb DDR radeon card, that has both video in and video out. So I am wondering if this one does too.

The 32MB DDR version does not have TV IN or TV OUT. You must go for either the 32MB AIW Radeon or the 64MB Radeon to get these features.

That AIW radeon looks pretty good at Buy.com ($262) if I could find a rebate for it plus the new customer $30 off coupon.

Hey Clocker

Please tell me!

Did the Radeon card that you received from Outpost come w/ the RETAIL packages(color box & Upc) or was it just OEM w/ a plain or no box at all.
