Outback vs Red Lobster

In Las Vegas, I think the best food option is the Caesar's Palace Buffet!!! The prices are reasonable and the food is excellent quality.

Some of the worst food I've had has been at Applebee's and Chili's. But I have also had good food at Chili's before.

Red lobster is terrible. They have this creamy pasta that everyone gets that is edible, but most everything else is bad. The biscuits are very good.

Outback is a step above red lobster. It's usually good and the atmosphere is kind of neatish.

Outback blows Red Lobster into the weeds ... even if you want shrimp its a much better choice.

And Happy Birthday! :gift: 🙂

I knew a bunch of snooty dickheads would come in and criticize you. The OP didn't ask "Are my dining choices up to your standards?", he asked "which place should I pick for my birthday?"

I hope you have a good birthday, OP.

Are you new to Anandtech? I mean seriously...see any other thread where the choice is between A and B and everyone else is going to suggest C-Z. That's a given. If you came into the thread expecting to see everyone picking Outback or Red Lobster, you are delusional.

and its not at all about the money. rl/outback isnt "cheap". one can find a local place for same or less.

solution: go on chowhound.com ; search "las vegas" ; eat ; win

The fact that it's expected doesn't lessen the level of dickheadedness. But whatever, I'm an idiot all the time on here too. It just bothered me this time for some reason. I'm just grumpy tonight, time for bed.

Between those two, I'd pick Outback. That's mostly because the last time I went to Red Lobster they burned the hell outta everything.

I haven't been to a bad Outback yet...but red lobster is dependant on management. Some really suck.

Both restaurants a decent for their price....however; the ATOTer will put them down since it's not at $50+ a plate. Much like they think there is no other beers but Stella.
