I went through a very bad stretch some years ago and the one thing that got me through it was telling myself that everything happens for a reason. It couldn't have been more true - the bad events were a precursor (big word for the day 😉 ) for some changes in my life that has made me a healthier, happier person.

I'll keep you in my prayers. 🙂

Well, I have received at least a temporary reprieve. I brought the union into it, and they seem to think that the supervisor's case for getting rid of me is more of a case of harrassment that I can bring against them. So for the moment, I still have my job. Keep your fingers crossed! 😀

EDIT: Looks like damage from the tree will not be terribly bad either. Good old Detroit steel and log walls for the house! 😀

Steve, sorry I kind of dropped off the planet for a while -
I was shocked to read about your situation, and then finally relieved when I got to the end of the thread.
I sure hope it works out, meanwhile I hope you are dusting off your resume.

I seem to be making it back to the land of the living, and am just about ready to resume operations, I don't know what all of this has done to your previous plans - drop me a line when you can.

Man, life seems to really suck sometimes...I had all kinds of cool things to say, and..dasm...everybody has pretty much said them already! Keep yer head up, yer eyes open, and a smile on your face---opportunity's a'knocking 😀
 
seems like good new for now steve...........i think i would send out job "feelers"........see whats going on the world around you that you might want to get into.....job wise.
 
Yeah, I am not out of the woods yet, and I have been meaning to leave this job anyway. I will not be resting on my arse, despite any favourable results that may occur.
 
Well, it seems that since they indicated that they wanted to fire me, that they are going to put everything I do under a microscope in hopes that I will give them a reason to do so. Union found some interesting comments by them in my personnel file though, that indicate they are being less than impartial when it comes to anything I do. :disgust:

Possibly. Just trying to save my job, for the moment, but I think people have won cases with less than the crap I have gone through here. :disgust:
